Hey guys I'd like to come up and meet on Saturday. My son has school so I don't see being able to really drive up Friday night, but I'd like to meet up Saturday morning for black balsam.

That sounds good. You will have two choices. Meet us at Courthouse falls or in the Black Balsam parking lot. WHen we get closer to the event we will have a specific meeting time for each. We plan on having lunch after courthouse falls in the parking lot. I'd think it would be safe to say 10-11 would be a good time to be there. We would probably leave by 12 at the latest to head up to black balsam. I'd say be at Black Balsam at 12. Might be 1 before we get there. It's only 30min at the most from Courthouse falls.

Marshall, I can leave Charleston earrrrrrrly on Friday morning. Where can I meet y'all in order to maximize the wheelingness?

Early still means a 5 hr drive. I would plan on meeting us here on Burrells ford road where is crosses the chattooga river at 12. We will be having lunch close by and should be able to get you to our lunch spot by radio.

How many OTMT's have there been?.....looking at incorporating the number in a possible sticker design

Since before my time so at least 10 years, I'm guessing 2005 or 2006 was the first one. Marshall would know.

I'll be headed up Friday AM as well, but I won't be in a rush to get there by noon. I've got no more than a 3 hour drive, but I'm planning on leaving early enough to soak up some trails on the way to the Chattooga Trailhead meeting point. Probably looking at this route.

That last section is the gravel road we will be traveling on.

Food we have talked about doing pot luck Friday and Sat night with everyone planning on bringing something to cook for everyone. You're on your own for lunch. I'll work with Teddy on securing utensils for us to have as well see if the club can afford to do breakfast Friday and Saturday. I'll be bringing the big outdoor cooker, stove and griddle for anyone to use. I just don't see a need for everyone to bring a bunch of cooking stuff when we have that. And if we have more people coming than I expect I have another exact same cooker I can bring.

At the last OTMT, someone cooked this amazing pork butt... I can't remember who it was, but if you happen to remember, lemme know and I will get hold of him and see if he's available.

Kidding of course, I know that's an all day affair and ain't nobody got time fo dat!

Seriously though, I think we should get a list of who is bringing what. I don't have cooking stuff and have managed to own an ARB Fridge for two years yet never tried it out. No straps. My cooler will hold ice for most of the first day... So if it's cool with everyone, I will bring Cheetos, Doritos, and buns (burger and/or dog, just need to know).

In on Page 5!
WHEW! What a Long strange trip that was! I was to meet certain unnamed folk in Atlanta at their shop. Only to wait around for like seriously 4-5 hours with zero communication. So... I just left by myself, not knowing where ya'll were camping, and having barely met a handful of ya'll earlier that year at the original MLK... But I rode all the way in to the bottom of Trail 5 and ya'll weren't there, so i back tracked every camp spot until I got to Spivey Cove where I found ya'll around 1AM... STILL UP.
Friends for life!
Haven't missed an OTMT... and don't plan on it either!

Good times back in 05. Chuck Redneck rafting was the best. Wonder if we could get him to do it again on the Chattooga?
