OPOR Sliders, if you were ever on the fence about sliders it's time to get off!

So who else has the rear legs hitting the rockers? I don't mean while trail riding. They are in contact with the rocker all the time.
After a couple hours running errands I'm realizing they are transmitting drive train and road noise to the body. Not happy about that.
That's not a good sign for tolerances on the product.

I'm curious to see what the responses are. I'll have mine in the next week or two so hopefully it's not recurring

Mine are good so far with no issues. I'll double check again to see if they touches the pinch weld but I don't remember they did. But they are very close, I can see tolerance on these needs to be exact because they used every last inch of open frame space.

The fronts had what I considered a reasonable gap. The slider is level and evenly spaced to the rocker.

Truck twisted up or dropping onto the sliders I expected then to occasonionally make contact. Just the nature of a body on frame design. Going down a paved road though it's not good. The body mounts isolate a LOT of noise and keep it from transmitting to the body. I suddenly realized as I drove that I had a bit of throaty exhaust sound (my cat is touching the slider absolutely not a issue with the product, my exhaust is all patched together and cat is not in stock location)

I will also say that every truck is going to have variances and every slider as well. So if I'm the only one with this problem I'll see if I can figure out a way to deal with it and maybe tweak the pinch weld a little.

Glad yours is alright Q

Grim, the way the instructions sound, it seems as if there's a way to finagle it around to fit.

Btw, I do have instructions in a PDF i may be able to post if there's some demand. Just gotta find the time haha

Can you please post the instruction? Mine never came with it, thanks!

Did a quick walk around and non of the support beams are touching the pinch weld so I think I am good. Although it does touch what looks like out side heat shield for the cat.

Yeah, post instructions please. I ordered mine exactly 2 weeks ago. Feel like I'm waiting on Christmas to get here!

Well time to put the money where my mouth is! I'll have instructions as soon as soon as I can figure out how to post 'em

So what's the ETA on these guys when they ship?

Mine shipped yesterday but no idea when they'll be here or a tracking number...

And for that matter, any recommendations for removing the factory running boards? Do you need to soak 'em in PB for a few days prior?

Mine came off easy but I'm in Texas with zero rust. If your up north just soak em in PB Blaster for a couple days. Mine were all 13mm but some say theirs are 12mm.

Finally in guys. These things weigh a ton. Ship weight was over 200.

Is there any recommendations on rattle canning these guys if it's raining outside? In other words, if there is a lot of humidity in the air?

From my limited experience try thin layers and a fan.

Is there anyway someone weight one of these? They seems heavier tha claimed 120lbs by a long stretch.

I'll weigh mine if they ever get here!!! In all fairness I ordered a set for a Tacoma at the same time and that's what's holding my order up.

Is that 120 for the pair or each? I wouldn't be surprised if the passenger side weighs around 100. The cat guard is half inch thick steel.

Each, these things are brutes.
