OPOR Sliders, if you were ever on the fence about sliders it's time to get off!

I was told 4-6 weeks because the orders have been coming in fast and furious, but in reality, it's likely going to be less than that.

Set expectation low, deliver high....always a good practice.

Just got my sprayed today with JD Blitz black, forgot pics but should have some posted before Monday.

I'm going to swing by Metal Tech on Thursday--hopefully when I wave cash around and say "local pick up please" they'll bump one of "youse guy's" orders and give it to me :)

question to those of you with full length sliders. If you pull the front mud flaps to run full length sliders are you getting any flack from the
local authorities? I know some states have annual physical safety inspections. Do those states fail a slider or rear bumper that displaces the
stock mud flap?

Well????? Your slacking on your pics!!!

Here in Cali you technically need mud flaps. Technically flaps must be no higher than 12" from the ground. That being said, I've never been hassled about mud flaps since I don't removed them. I have gotten three tickets (2 cell phone and one missing front plate) and both times no mention of mud flaps. Could be there is no mud, nor water, here in SoCal :P

No way in hell I could live in that communist state!!!!! I'd like to go site seeing there but no way live there. I feel sorry for y'all. All that natural beauty tainted by the gubmit.

Really? I sure don't feel that way :meh:

I could never ever even consider living in or near TX. So I guess we are both where we belong :flipoff2:
We don't allow liberals here anyways.:flipoff2::worms:

Exactly. I'll end this discussion by dismantling and cleaning my AR now :flipoff2:
I've got some 30 round mags if you need some...............oh wait. Sorry for the tease!

Pre-ban :flipoff2:

BTW, just to keep things on topic, what are the overall length of the OPORs? I want to go measure vs 4+ to see how it would look.

I guess I'll adjust for no front mud flaps then. That will add 5 or so inches. We were in the process of adding cat skids for the mid 95 and later IMG_3443.webp IMG_3448.webp IMG_3447.webp IMG_3445.webp IMG_3444.webp

I don't know about others feeling on this but I kind of find it tacky that you are doing your product research in a thread about another paid vendors product instead of starting your own thread.

Mine showed up today. Pleased with the quality. Top notch especially for the price.

Went straight to my local powder coater to get a quote. It was my lucky day and they already had a big run going in a black that's a good match for my ARB bumper. So they got me a great deal with no set up fee. May have them back by tomorrow. They run two shifts and they figured they would have them on the line in the morning.

Just a FYI. If you are even thinking about powder do it while they are raw steel as soon as you get them. Guy point blank told me to get a decent job after they have been rattle caned they would want me to have them sand blasted to remove the paint. With them being raw steel he can run it through a chemical wash then bake it dry and go straight to powder.

For North ga folks I used Ray Paul coatings. Just about on the Cobb Cherokee line on hwy 5

I will try to stay on point...I went over to the local R L Carriers where my sliders were dropped shipped. I had a cover story all ready to go for when I got home and my wife saw them. I knew there was no way to hide these as they are BEEFY. However, she saw them and assumed they were an upgraded receiver hitch. ;)
The welds look very well done, the steel tubing is stamped Made In The USA, it comes with what looks like grade 8 hardware, and I found a current issue of the Toyota Trails (Toyota Land Cruiser Association) magazine in my shipment. Thank you MetalTech. I am very pleased with my investment.

Spoke with Wade on mine today. Turns out I was the 6th order placed and they had 5 sets of material in stock. Mine should be out sometime next week; however, I don't want to quote anybody else's ship time.
