dude nice toy i wonder but I think your 1HZ will kick the arse of my hotted up RED engine.

I Watched your utube videos also man I wonder how far behind I would be hahaha - a long way back.

war wound is correct.

Start a trophy cabinet for the parts you break. I think you need seamless tube for the wastegate pipe :)

hahah cheers fellas!

Yeah the 1HZ goes pretty hard for an old oil burner lol.

By waste gate pipe you meen the dump pipe? Thats already seamless 3" mandrel

now that im finally back at work i managed to knock up some engine mounts out of 50mm 8mm wall pipe and some 75 series rear rubber shackle bushes. Then a 9/16 UNC bolt through the guts of it.

I doubt ill be able to break these...

Mate is see on 4wdmonthly ( i registed but aint aloud to post 4 some reason ) you say you ripped 2 sets of mounts in half just wondering if they were genuine toyo parts or not ,i torn 3 aftermarkets then the gen toyo seems to hold up ,but you are running a filthy big turbo lol

they were aftermarket and i guess where weak as.

The stock mounts just have too much flex for the torque im getting so they twist up too much

I started to install the mounts today... Damn is cast a bitch to weld or what...

I sat the mount on the stove for 15 mins to preheat it, seems to have gone ok... this is high graphite cast steel so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts...

I just dont have the equipment to make new mounts from scratch at the moment...

This is the old mount i pulled out... alot of carnage for only 2 outings....

The finished product, cooling as we speak on the stove over low heat lol...

I think I would like to advise you to back of the boost but no im having too much fun seeing what you break and repair hahaha.

Went to start my RED beast up friday nite after filling it with DIESEL and the dam battery died so we crashed started it drove it up the top of the hill to test it again and the BATTERY teermnal smoked itself out :( . Coasted down the hill home parked it and bought 2 new batteries today and will install 2morrow :( No idea whats wrong but I cann't drive it so im pissed I suspect the old 12v/24V problem has raised its ugly head yet again and destroyed the battery.

Did you break new toyota mounts? There are guys running a lot more power than you with stock mounts and not breaking them. My mounts have about 5000 underground mine hours on them and I run as much power as you with no problems yet - although they are getting swapped when I put the new tranny in.

I suspect you would be ok with OEM mounts - and a new OEM tranny mount - change them all at the same time.

Awesome truck!

they were aftermarket so no surprise there...

Im getting too much drive line flex with standard mounts so this was the only way around it.

I could spend $100+ on oem mounts or $0 and some time and make these that will be 1000x better

They look flash as hope they hold up
do they come out the printer painted like that lol

Oh and here is the completed engine mount and adapter bracket to the standard chassis mount.

Cheers guys

you will have very strong mounts but also the engine vibrations will be more pronounced.
looks good. congrates

Great work as usual zoltan
I was thinking of the engine vibrations too... if the 1HZ is anything like the 13BT then your definatley going to notice it.

the 6 inline are much more balanced, les vibs and more quiet than a 4 Toyota diesel .. but still you will feel the vibrations ..

no extra vibes that i have noticed, engine/gearbox dosnt move even under full shock loading.

Im STOKED!

Cheers fellas!

I have some flex!?
Rear could be better... but hey im happy
