haha nah that's my mates shortie

We just finished building her the other day.

Cheers guys,

I made my dump pipe today, it was a hell of alot easier than i thought it was going to be, all i needed was a gimpy and a piece of 1" solid rod oh and a bit of time.

I squashed the end of the 3" tube piece down so it was the basic profile of the flange, then used the hammer and rod to go around and peen it out, tacking as i went. I then got a 3" mandrel bend and welded that on for the drop.
Came up perfect, not bad for my 1st attempt.

Well i pulled the car in today, stripped the front housing, ground and cut the knuckles ready for another 'cut and turn'. I went for 4.5deg this time as my last C&T came out as 8deg for some reason...#-o and u know what?

NO MORE DEATH WOBBLES!!

Ive pulled it back down again to brace the knuckles

Castor corrected and braced, no bending these puppies

Drives awesome now!

New Vid @ ~10psi and fuel increased.

As always videos like this just don't do things justice...
When all said and done, i doubt i need much more power than this...
1HZ Turbo @ ~10Psi

Excellent build. I have been looking at the GT2876 -70330-1 Garrett and was wondering which actuator you used. Where did you pull the coolant from? Did you use an oil restrictor? Thanks great build!:beer:

Cheers mate!

My series GT2876R has an oil restrictor inbuilt, dont know what kind of actuator i got but its a 12.5psi job, i had to make my own mounting plate and linkage for it though.

Ill try and get a pic of it for ya sometime

Cheers fellas:beer:

Wow! That sounds fabulous! Now I really want to turbo one of my rigs. This has been a very entertaining build thread from the very beginning. Keep up the good work!

Best regards,
Shaun

that is a perfect use for the otherwise useless spot. i always wondered why an altimiter was installed in the JDM units...

shes a beautiful build M8

thanx mate, its a little hard to see the whole gauge as its on a bit of an angle but its good for now, im going to make a face plate with angled gauge holes later on.

You can pickup these angle rings that fit behind the gauge and angle it toward the driver a bit, they work great.

Good Built

Cheers

Michael

cheers Michael ill have a look for these rings

Ok well a bit of an update, i have finished the water cooling on the turbo and a temporary intake away from the turbo.

I thought id see what would happen if i took the waste gate actuator off the turbo... and this is what i found :D

YouTube - 1HZ Turbo @ over 20psi

Dodgy video i know... done with my phone, holding it while driving... only 1st gear lol....
