For those keeping score, yep, that's a 3rd FJ60.

Plans? Build thread coming or is this for Chloe/Phoenix parts?? Inquiring minds want to know...

The majority will become Phoenix. Truck #2 was a parts truck that served it's purpose and paid for itself plus a little. The remaining shell and frame initially looked good enough to save and do a SBC swap. After digging deeper, the amount of body work required has grown while my available time has shrunk. Without a dedicated shop space and some better fabrication tools, it’s better to stop messing with #2 and move on to a better project foundation.

The engine and a few other interior parts will be held in reserve for Chloe.

So now that election Tuesday is over... .... how is everyone's Wednesday going?

I haven't... we've only been with them since 2015 and (knock-on-wood) no claims for home or auto. Hate to hear that. Our agent is a very close friend so I'd like to think I could get some assistance if needed but I'm sure their hands are tied at some point
Our rep with Nationwide was my mom's cousin, Sherry Ransom. Everybody in the family had insurance through Sherry. We didn't have that many claims but everytime my wife called, Sherry or her employees would answer and says "Hey Shannon, how's it going?". It was amazing to have that kind of response for insurance and while we probably were paying too much, the customer service and expedited resolution made up for it.

Eventually Sherry retired and a new person took over. We don't know his name and he certainly doesn't know us. Our most recent claim was to replace the shingles on the housethat were damaged by a storm in 2017. The previous owner was too lazy to have them replaced and we bought the house in 2019. We had a few more storms since then and called Nationwide for a claim. Our agent apparently moved to Ohio and had to send a contractor out. The contractor climbed up on our 10/12 roof without proper gear and put in a claim stating that only the front half of the roof needs to be replaced. The shingles are discontinued and he was too scared to cross over the ridge to examine the back half. Needless to say, we were NOT happy and not about to settle with a half roof replacement. We went back ad forth and finally found a roofer that examined the roof and agreed to fight to get the whole thing replaced. In the end, Nationwide approved a full roof replacement with 30 year shingles and we only paid $1500 out of pocket.

Since losing Sherry, we are probably going to start shopping for new insurance. There's nothing keeping us with Nationwide at this point.

We have a lot of veterans in here so thank you for all of your service.

Friends, this Veterans Day please consider supporting veterans and first responders, while also entering a raffle to win cool prizes - like a $5,000 adventure package (trailer, tent, kayak) or a shotgun gun/shooting package ($1500).

Central Piedmont Community College – one of the best in the country-- provides scholarships and other support programs for military veterans, first responders, and their families. Our annual event, the Central Piedmont Sporting Clays Classic, was cancelled (twice) this year because of COVID-19. What wasn’t cancelled was the need to raise money for these scholarships and programs. So we are holding this online raffle to try to minimize the pandemic damage. Here’s the link. As a member of the host committee, I can tell you these dollars help deserving area students. Plus, the raffle items are pretty cool too!

My old boss sent me this picture just now. He didn't take it and wasn't on the ferry but it was the ferry right before his. (he lives on Bainbridge island and takes it in every day) I haven't been lucky enough to see an Orca from a ferry yet but we have seen a Gray Whale, dophins, seals, otters, air craft carrier, submarine and tons and tons of jelly fish. No real reason to post this I just liked the picture.

Once again, listening to an online meeting that the wife is on. The host just explained that 'check marks' equal YES and 'X-marks' equals no. Someone asked a question about "A technical problem I'm having with that" and the IT response was "What browser are you using?". The person's response to that was "None, probably...I don't see that anywhere". This person makes six figures. WTF?

Is there a job I can get that consists solely of visiting idiots in corporate America and slapping them? @izzyandsue , anything at all?

Sounds like a bank I used to work in, where the person who knows how to turn on a computer and run wires is the king. Shortly after I got there, I was asked by a 7 figure salary leader if I could help low performing centers perform above average, something along the lines of "we have 100 centers, and about half of them are performing below average, Izzy is going to help us all get above average" type of thing. I blinked twice, like SpongeBob, and said "YES". What else can you say.

Another time one of the geniuses asked me why his WiFi signal was so bad, I told him (it was a guy) that he needed to plug in his laptop antenna, yes, the ethernet cable for those who know. He was extremely impressed by the fast speed he got with the "antenna plugged in", no idea if he ever figured it out, but likely no.

I think Izzy posted about it not long ago, I have always been surprised the something like 80% of people think they are above average when it comes to intelligence. Obviously this is statistically impossible. Me personally, I've always pondered, if I am so smart why am I so poor. :)
