@lt1fire Did Steve Guttenberg park that red BMW on top of the shipping container?

LOL - and that's like 46 at the wheels! Love it!
in high school, buddies mom had an izuzu imark that 3 of us could could stall out when he popped the clutch in first. not that smartest thing we'd ever done, but it was good for a laugh. It probably had other issues.

Ok so my 80 already had the lift when I got it. For those of you that did the lifts yourselves, where did you get them from?

that would depend on how large of a lift you are looking for find your size and then for the most part find the dealer with the current cheapest part on that lift.

Unless you want a more specialized one like slinky springs, icon springs or a 3 link

It's for the lx450. Just gonna run 285's and keep things simple.

well for a cheap simple way you could just run some spacers... 285's fit on a stock rig.
Iron man might be the cheapest lift out there but i'd just keep your eyes on the classifieds if you aren't in a hurry.... wish FOR still made lifts

Gawd damn I loved that show!

CHips - best show ever, got to watch that in the afternoons with the Rockford Files - too many CHips episodes to count - two of my favorites - 1) when the dude swallows the pop top in the room with the washer/dryer and I think Ponch gives him the heimlich, and B) the one where the scammers would back into reverse and hit cars and say they rammed into them :)

I have 3 acres, small house framed in, 20' X 20' garage on slab, 12' X 14' Heavy duty shed, well and septic in place, power in place on the side of a mountain in Edneyville (Hendersonville address) we plan on selling. 4 plateaus suitable for building

I'd give Coil Spring Specialties in KS a call and get exactly what you want. IMHO the OME/Ironman/Aussie lifts all presuppose a lot of extra weight in/on the vehicle, and imho ride like crap if you're not loaded up all the time due to their insanely high spring rates. CSS can make springs at the exact height you want, with the load/ride characteristics you prefer. Short of the long-gone FOR springs (which I had on my 80), may be a good choice for modest coin.

Yes, Top Gear did it already
Yes, it's a Hyundai, so who cares?
I like when advertising companies spend money on this type of stuff. Better this crap then giant opening doors and "real people"....

The TJM progressives are said to ride very good

I must have missed the episode when top gear went to the antarctic?? I do however remember the one where they went to the arctic. ;)

I'm not quite sure how hyundai are claiming the first car to ever do it? Expeditions 7 did it recently, Arctic Trucks have done it numerous times as well as many other companies. Maybe just the first car company backed crossing.

on a side note Shackleton was the man.... and the Endurance Scotch that was remade from the Scotch found sealed under one of his huts is pretty damn amazing.

Fat stepping up their gane.

I don't think there claiming to be the first, just that they've concluded done unfinished business.
