1. Your wife won't be driving it
2. You powerlift as a hobby
I'm gonna go with no, you don't need power brakes or steering.
My wife lifts too- she's a strong lady.
Lots of folks have the HF 3-ton. Usually $20 for 2. the HF 6-ton are $40 for 2. I've had the small ones for years, and they fit easier into the truck when I travel (yes, I've needed them on/off road), but I want the larger ones for peace of mind. With 315's now, I'm usually on the highest notch.Well, I don't mind paying more for something that will last longer. I just wasn't sure what a good floor jack would be.

A thing that people probably don't pay much attention to is the footprint of the stand, especially if using the factory bottle jack under an axle while wanting the stands as far outboard as possible. It's a nonissue if lifting from a floor jack.
I use the factory bottle jack unless I'm at work where there's a floor jack of some sort. Sorry, no recommendations.Any jacks you would recommend?
Power steering isn't required as long as you stick with appropriate tires and don't put something goofy wide on it.
I'm assuming you will drive this around Charlotte and not reserve it only for trundling around an Iowa cornfield; power brakes would be a good upgrade.

They're measured as a pair - so a set of 4 - 3 ton jackstands can hold up to 6 tons.
900-16 STA NDT 8PRIf anything I want to find some Michilen XML 36x9x16s to put on it. But right now leaving what's on it.
Correct, driving around Charlotte.
