My kid put the wrong one out its in a safe place the busted up one relaced it the day I got home he was going to surprise me ( YES I kept me cool ) and was surprised LOL

Here is a pic of the Trans and numbers on the motor, Would there be other number John ?

I never knew they was a date code. I know there is serial #. Serial is on the passenger's side towards the back. There is a flat area behind the dist.

1961 Serial number F-142016 Date Code Oct 28th 1960

1963 Serial number F-175651 Date Code Aug 9th 1962 this is a early 63 with a 1962 production date.

Not to often you find where someone put in a earlier motor. Most the time it's seems to be a F replaced by a 2F

Here is what we got done today. Now tommorow we will be taking it over to the barn for storage until we figure out what our plans are.

Motor is all sealed and ready for storage I did find the block number F 17986 Thanks for everyone's help and input. Man I love these things :grinpimp:

So what are your plans, just parting out?

No plans for it right now , but my friends on the east coast I am sure will end up with some sheet metal :cheers:
