I never knew they was a date code. I know there is serial #. Serial is on the passenger's side towards the back. There is a flat area behind the dist.

1961 Serial number F-142016 Date Code Oct 28th 1960

1963 Serial number F-175651 Date Code Aug 9th 1962 this is a early 63 with a 1962 production date.

Not to often you find where someone put in a earlier motor. Most the time it's seems to be a F replaced by a 2F
