Dang ya gotta love Cruisers, Picked this up today and had a fantastic time meeting other Cruiser folks down in San Diego. Chris, Ian , and Kevin Thanks for sharing your Cruiser stories :grinpimp: Here is what I brought home and for some reason the wife cant see past the rust. BUT I didnt expect to get such a treat. We will be keeping this motor complete until we figure out what we might put it in.

Wow cool trans plant!

Rob I'll trade you a F155 for it. Why you want something that old:rolleyes:. Post a picture of the air cleaner. I'll try and date it closer. I can you it's not from a FJ25. The oil fill tube is not from a FJ25. If that old fuel pump craps out I'll trade you a good newer one (your's has the hand primer:cool:)

Just saw the video that is the early air cleaner that will take a hose to run over to a intake on the driver's apron. I guess a 61 or 62 FJ40. What the number stamped on the engine. Got a 61 and early 63 f engines around here to compare nubers. You know I would really love to have this for my ealy FJ40 project since both of mine need a complete rebuild

Nice score, but there goes the neighbourhood.

Oh yeah, I saw the fog was rolling in on the video. I didn't realize you lived so close to the sea.

Nice score, looks like that was a good rest of your trip. Thanks again for the parts, awesome meeting you!

Rob,

Why do we do this to ourselves and our wives? We drag home old parts cars like puppies we found on the corner. I keep looking at this old LV on my trailer and have to ask myself......................why? and what the hell am I going to do with it? Oh well, part it out and keep other cruisers alive and running.

Anytime Rob.

You notice that the factory one is up front that's bacause the back one is off a chevy and won't find over the front hub.

I have GOT to get over to your place one of these days!

I kept watching in the video waiting for the "bear can carb prime".

Never happened.

You mean BEER  I quit drinking so the video's might not be as exciting LOL
