Isn't that early by club standards? No I was on time.
It filled in pretty good by 10… nice to see everyone! And hands down best breakfast sandwiches around!
Well, I do have 18's instead of 16's plus the next size up tire, so your number is a little higher than a stock 100....I measured @JohnVee ’s ground clearance on his stock 100 series… 13” to my 9.5” on the new 4runner…
ThanksMatt has Js and 2" spacers on the front and Dobinson's 4" in the rear.
I had that sandwich as well. So dang good! Don't know what's better that or the brisket sandwichHere ya go, @matzell . Fried chicken thigh (daaaaaaaaamn good by itself for a place that only fries french fries!), eggs, pimento cheese on a potato bun. The sloppy gooey cheese melt drip is on the other side - looked gorgeous but covered up the glorious chicken crust. All of their breakfast sandwiches can be had on a biscuit or a bun, and cheese can be cheddar of pimento.
@iptman somehow managed to eat his two biscuits & gravy plus a bbq/egg/cheese biscuit. I feel bloated and lethargic just thinking about that. I wanted to try to goad him into stuffing a cinnamon roll into his gullet afterward but started feeling guilty so I didn't bother; it could have been dangerous and I might have felt badly.

Easiest way to get clearance and height is bigger tires.PS- before leaving I measured @JohnVee ’s ground clearance on his stock 100 series… 13” to my 9.5” on the new 4runner… definitely envious of the higher measurement. No matter how much delicious meat I had this morning with the club I still feel like I could use a couple more inches. Contemplating next steps with the 4runner so I can get the extra inches that I crave at every moment- especially when out alone in the woods. The factory skid is toast already with 1,200 miles on the odometer. No innuendos intended.
Sort of… measured at the front skid plate area- to get the same clearance as John’s 100 series (with one size up tires) Id need to run a 38” tire. LoL. Thanks Toyota.Easiest way to get clearance and height is bigger tires.
Call me crazy, but sounds like you need to buy some 40s and chop up your fenders so you can have the clearance you want. Seems like the simplest solution.Sort of… measured at the front skid plate area- to get the same clearance as John’s 100 series (with one size up tires) Id need to run a 38” tire. LoL. Thanks Toyota.
13” - 9.5” = 3.5” difference. So double 3.5” to get needed additional tire height. Currently 30.6” tire + 7” = 37.6” tire.
In other words it looks like I’ll need a 2”/2.5” lift and then the bigger tires. Let’s see…
2.5” Lift yields 9.5” clearance + 2.5” = 12” (ok getting there)
Now add a 33” tire…
12” + (33”-30.6” tire) = 12.4”
Ok. So 2” or 2.5” lift and a 33” will almost get me there.
Gah!! I did not want to bother with a lift… But I think it’s just inevitable on the 4runner and GX platforms. Toyota really should have provided more adequate ground clearance from the factory.
