Without a doubt they hold on great. I went through some trails that had some thick branches and the magnets still held on without moving even at the slightest. Even if it picked up an edge it would still be unlikely to just fall off. There would still be enough surface area maintaining contact to hold and then just flop back in place. The only time to worry about them coming off is when you are doing around 60mph on the highway to the trail and a little air gets underneath (that’s funny... air = bad, branches = ok). The hardest part is putting them on. You have to line them up right because you can’t just slide them over.
Yes you do have to cut them; here is the link to a previous post with the info on the magnets. And Junk you kill me man, no love without the glove and skidmarks. Yea baby!
Like dude, may as well buy a bunch of like fawkin saran wrap and have your wife wrap you up. Maybe you can get a deal on dealer sized purchase.
Why the heck did you buy a cruiser if you aren't willing to bang it around. You say you want to take it on the trail and yet you do not want any scrapes? Sounds like you want the sissified recess with no dodgeball to me.

bedliner the whole thing

I agree with DanKunz. That will protect it plus you can have different colors if thats your thing. Im sure alaskacruiser can special order a rainbow line x because we all know rainbow is his favorite.
Big "Man"- people get sliders so their rockers don't get banged up. Why did they buy a cruiser if they weren't willing to get it banged up? If you ask me, the more protection, the better. It seems like you can have the best of both worlds with this type of protection- hit the trails and no scrapes, so why not? No- actually try to answer the question- why not? Because it "looks sissy"? Some people are a little too concerned with their image.
I expected this type of response from self-titled "hardcore" wheelers who think damage offroad somehow proves their offroading skill. In my mind, it doesn't take skill to break drivetrain parts, rollover, or scratch and ding your vehicle offroad- any idiot with a Cruiser can do that just fine- it takes skill NOT to.
According to "offroad armor", quite a few people have emailed asking for more info in the past few days. Looks like it's not such a bad idea, after all.

Either we're all thinking the same thing here .. or ... : :
You just seem to be coming on a 'lil strong for a new guy ... and Junk and his momma aren't folks you want to emmulate .

uh huh, can only handle one "Junk" like character at a time. No offense Junk Advise to new guys, ease into the forum. After a while start to rub people the wrong way, then it's too late and maybe we've already decided to "accept" you anyways.
