I wish you would have bought it back and sold it. Can't buy from copart unless you're a registered dealer in NC.
Actually anyone can buy it back. You don’t need a dealer license. They will take your money no problem.

I’ve bought several and never once had to show my license. Usually purchase from my phone and pay with my debit card before I pickup.

as public you can buy from copart unless there is a bio-hazard issue then you need to be licensed in some way.
That’s also a misconception. I have one sitting in my driveway that was biohazard because it had blood on the deployed airbag.

ok, i would be interested in how to enable that option. i tried last year to bid on one but i needed some sort of license on file to move forward.

You guys and your bloody vehicles!

:)

'97 LX450 is officially sold. Just have to swap some seats back in and prep for final deal. I will let the new owner "reveal" himself when the time is right and the transaction is done :)

Sad to see it go, but looking forward to the $$ and spending some time with the '96. :)

2000 white LC for sale if you can make a quick deal (like in a few days) I would do a deal. 240k. Mostly stock. No rust at all. Leather is in great shape. Android head unit. Will need tires within the next year. Windshield has a crack but passes inspection. May or may not need an AC compressor. Has the tailgate storage and 3rd row seats. Running boards are off, but I still have them.

Found a GX that I don’t want to pass up on if I can help it, but would rather sell the 100 first or at least have a committed buyer.

So depending on if that sells will depend if I will still sell the 100. I will get pics tomorrow.

Congrats on the sell and to keeping it around. I feel like with your track record I should go ahead and call dibs on the Tacoma. Your building it exactly how I would. :D

Its hard "holding back" from buying some sliders, bud built full skid plates, bumpers and a winch and then selling the '96 LX . . . Its an idea - so maybe wait for that first!

I do plan on picking up another 80 next year, are you telling me to hold off until a certain 96 is available.... :hmm:

Do you have an account with them? Last time I tried to set up an account, they said I needed to have my dealer's license to buy a whole truck.

I did, it expired last year. I’ve never showed them any dealer paperwork. I will say some of the vehicles do require a dealer license but currently there is 52,757 vehicle for purchase that don’t require a dealer license. Plenty to choose from. Its possible that one may of required it.

I wonder why it's different state to state from them. In WA I can buy a boat, jetski, tractor from them but to bid on an auto I need to be a dealer or go through a broker.

The Tacoma is not going away, but the '96 LX could. I would then "build out" the Tacoma.

On the '96, the current plan is for daughter to drive it for a couple years, and then to see if we want to continue to build it, or to move to the Sprinter build.

With the Prius gone, Heather is wanting something with more security features for her, so if we sold the '96, we would probably go buy a newer Rav4 or something worse . . :)

To clarify, I meant I would build out the Tacoma - with the lift on, now I am getting the itch to do other stuff . . .of course :(

We may have to institute a 7 day waiting period for any vehicle purchases or sales for you, Jamie....
