With the Prius gone, Heather is wanting something with more security features for her, so if we sold the '96, we would probably go buy a newer Rav4 or something worse . . :)

I did NOT want to like our new Rav4 hybrid, putting my prejudice aside since it was Regina’s daily driver. Now that we’ve owned it for over a year, I have to almost admit that I (whisper) love it. It is surprisingly quick, has no trouble performing in traffic of the NASCAR Triangle Commuter 500, we have a hard time getting UNDER 34 MPG, the passenger back seats are adult comfortable being reclining and I’ve fit 8’ lumber inside.

I’m still looking for a decent lift kit for it so I can fit some honest 33” tires, hoping RCV will come out with some CrMo CV’s for it, finding a winch bumper design has been challenging though, someday...

The Tacoma is not going away, but the '96 LX could. I would then "build out" the Tacoma.

On the '96, the current plan is for daughter to drive it for a couple years, and then to see if we want to continue to build it, or to move to the Sprinter build.

I understand. I need to move into something bigger too. I’m trying to convince Brit on an E350 with the 4x4 conversion. With 3 growing kids the 100 will feel tight. Secrets out. Also in the market for a good urologist. Time for a snip.

I’m thinking I could build out an 80 or whatever I decide on and the E350 could serve as the camping, tow, kid hauler, grocery getter.

Spotted this in Bedford Va last weekend. It’s the first one I’ve seen where I would consider one.

Wanted: carpet for the 60.

Assuming nobody just has one sitting around, any suggestions on where to buy one? Don’t need the rear floor section just the passenger sections. This PO DIY carpet is pissing me off, but I see a company doing $275 for a full set - which seems unnecessarily excessive.

The plan is to sell the B&B and literally live in the Van and tour the country :)

They are about $50K new in the 144 length with the 4WD.

There are tons of those out here, even some ford transits set up the same way.

To me an Econoline or Express 4x4 just looks better and will be better off road. Even though I could actually stand up in that sprinter ;)

When we were out west, we saw sprinters and transits all over the place. There were even rental ones, where you could roam around in one. I'd suggest doing that first, before you make a very very very expensive decision.

@weejub How much offpavement driving will you actually be doing with it? Is it worth the extra cost of 4wd vs a regular 2wd RV kitted version of the Sprinter? my friend and his wife have an Rv'ed one, and they like it. gas mileage is around 20-25 or so when they arent in a hurry. It may be better off for you to get an rv version, and rent/ridealong in a 4wd when you want to get your offroad jollies.

Seems like a fair price. You mean excessive to buy a whole kit when you just need part?

Have you tried stockinteriors.com. Looks like same price you quoted.

New Toyota Land Cruiser Carpet Molded Replacement Kit

Yeah that’s where the full kit is. Not saying it’s not a good price, I just don’t need the whole thing and don’t wanna get into pulling everything out if I don’t need to.

What color is your interior? If it's brown, I might be willing to split a kit with you. I need the cargo area and tailgate carpet for mine.

FS front e-locker no spindles everything else in. Needs knuckle rebuild pm if interested. $475

Need ‘91-‘94 FJ80-FZJ80 steering wheel. I want to send one off to @MScruiser to use as a template to work his leather magic. He makes sew-on covers for the later 4 spoke 80 wheels but hasn’t made them for the early ones yet.

Anyone have a tractor with a front loader, or a skidsteer with a bucket, I can rent from them for a week or so? Believe it or not, I have a fair amount of experience piloting a JD 4320 from my days as a landscaper. Can pick up with my truck and @mtweller 's trailer.

Need to change the grade of my driveway, and prep a pad for a shed. Can go to sunbelt and rent one, which is the plan, but putting a feeler out there in case someone is willing to save me the rush of equipment rental. @fj40z @jfz80

Will pay for the time, plus beer.

I have one. Come and get it. It is rough

Dont have one, unfortunately. If you do rent from sunbelt...go Friday and then you have all weekend for just one day rental...unless they put an hour limit per the meter. You probably already knew that tho!

Man I wish I could help you out. I have 2 tractors but they don’t have a front end loader. The one I use all the time is my father in laws.
