Was that pic running up the hill the sand dam at superstition? Fun hill! And yes, I agree that 295 as a solid improvement over 285s, performance and visually. Flotation! I was running at 12 PSI when I was on that hill and she was unstoppable. Want to try with 35s.

Your LX has a lot more suspension flex than your friend's 4runner.

If I'm not mistaken the 4runner is even lifting a rear.

Yea my brothers TRD with lots of aftermarket suspension parts. I think if he took the sway bars off it would help. My old runner...

I’m running the icon wheels. I don’t remember the offset but it’s in a thread somewhere. No rubbing after taking heat gun to fender liner.

I plan on going to 4.88 in the future and will go with 315’s “35’s” and put a front locker in. Super happy with the ahc besides having a issue in December what at Moab. Turns out I was just below the min level for ahc fluid I think due to adjusting my rear sensors higher.

Just liked the way it looked leaving this customer’s home. Parked in high.

It might be slightly noticeable that I’ve begun to cut into the trailing edge of the rear fender/Tupperware bumper but I haven’t finished cleaning the cut yet and the hitch cover doesn’t fit securely since my body lift. I need to work on both of these things.

Nice. It is hard to tell, but it looks like if you had a second box, that you could fit all that gear in there and just stack them. Do you think that would work? Also, do you still have a third row?

Yes I have the third row still installed. And there is a little space still available even with the 3rd row up and reclined. I could put a smaller front loading box under the larger top loading one. And I may do that...currently I’ve got it set up the way it is so that I can take the 4 max trax (currently on top of the folded third row but under the floor mat) and place them on top of the toolbox should I need the 3rd row.

the max trax give a slightly more level platform across the 3rd row when it’s down.

the back of the truck is a mess in these photos-I had just purchased the toolbox and was seeing if it would fit...no organization had happened yet.

with the toolbox I can fit quite a few things that now won’t fly around my cab should I get in an accident...plus there’s space between it and the third row that I can fit a spare cv shaft, starter, max ax, max tool kit, and a few other soft items. and the extra parts are wedged sort of under the third row when it’s down so they’re not going to fly around in an accident either. You have to raise the 3rd row to access them-which is fine w me. I won’t need a spare cv or starter often.

Basically everything I would take on a road trip/off-roading trip fits in the box or just in front of it...I don’t have to load anything except camping equipment or luggage if I’m going some place far away.

if I was going to do it again, I wouldn’t buy the 48” version with the little shelf at the bottom (designed to sit on a pickup truck side rail) though, I’d just get a full 48x15 one for the back of a truck. I kind of like the little cubby for putting my quick access recovery stuff...but I’d probably be able to keep it quite organized and gain a little space had it not had the little cut out on the bottom.

The little cubby isn’t so much of a deal breaker that it’s worth returning and buying another one though.

Yes they are. They are the 275/65r18 Michelin AT2 tires. They were something I threw on to replace the awful 22s that came on it.
I am getting ready to order some new tires to put on a set of RWs that I have.
The Michelins have actually done really well. I am always nervous that I am going to tear out a sidewall on the sharp rocks out here but they have held up quite well so far.

Are you going into the 34" range? Kenda R/T 35x10.5x17 or Goodyear MTR 275/80R17. Can't argue with the Toyos either, do they have 285/75r17 in that model yet?

Yeah, I am torn between 285/70 and 285/75s.

Both are great! With the right offset both fit with minimal work.
