joez, your cruiser is dope. i just got the 37" radial rockers for my first gen. my cruiser is jealous for sure. you the same joez from pirate with the first gen on 42s? this a new wheeler?

Yup, same person, and thank you. I got tired of towing everywhere, so I decided to build a mild driver. The 80 fit the bill perfect, I've been having more fun with this than I was with my 4runner.

How do you guys like the radial rockers? I've herd great things about the rockers but not much on the radial version.

I have a friend who has the bias rockers (44") and another with 35" radial rockers, they cant drive on the hwy with them..... Another buddy borrowed the 35's to go wheeling out of town and had to turn around and swap back to his tires to make the trip. The 35" radials were part of the first run supposedly so I dont know if they are better now or not.

I love my radial rockers. Just got back from putting 1000 miles on them on a wheeling trip in Missouri. Mine are unbalanced and run down the road great. No vibrations or shimmys, and they aren't as loud as I expected. Hands down these are the best all around tire I've ever run, but they come at a premium price. Traction could be compared to my 42" bias iroks off road with good road manners and a decent noise level.

i second joez, i absolutely love my pitbull rockers. they are no where near as loud as i expected and they run down the road very smooth. mine are powder balanced and have no shakes at all up to 68 mph. they are true 37x12.50x17 load range E on a really light 81 first gen(stock 4.10s=lots of patience). i run 22psi on the road. i will eventually run 8 pounds, but at 10 psi offroad the traction is phenomenal and the tire flexes very well. i was in some nasty mud over the weekend that my old km2s struggled in, and the rockers got through without my front locker. they continued to impress on every obstacle. tight trails with lots of off camber climbs and slick hills. the rockers did great. i cant wait to get them in the rocks this weekend.

Just picked up a brand new set of 39.5x13.50-17! Now I need wheels. Stay tuned!

Way to pull the trigger Wrench! Those look great. Don't they weigh in at around 90lbs?

Is the 41.5x13.50 Rocker Radial out yet? They were supposed to release that tire and then Denman went under.

Thx man!
84lb. I think they are the lightest 40's you can get.

I really can't complain about my iroc's but would love to have something non directional for the next set. 40's or bigger has always been in the build plan.
Wrench did you go radial or bias? They look skinny, I'd say radial from the pic.

Going extreme, hah?
Ha you could say that.

I'm excited for you Wrench! I'm also interested to see how it goes for you. Those are the tires I want to run next...
Thx man! I will let you know how the work.

They are bias and they balloon out once mounted and filled.

For those with huge tires and stock e-lockers...How are they holding up?

ABOUT FREAKIN TIME!, NOW we're gonna see what that Crawl box is made of. I can't wait to see it on the trail. How about some video this time around Wrench, I have yet to see an 80 video with the Marks box engaged actually crawling up some rocks.:grinpimp:

Congrats, look forward to hearing about the experience.

Still a good bit left to do to it, but this is how it sits now...
