53452 90351 = Holder Hood Stay for almost every Toyota - US market
90480 15002 = Grommet for a number of Toyota models, including the 60 series - US market
53420 60010 = Support Rod, 80 series - non-US market part

53420-60010 is not for a Support Rod, 80 series, it's for a hood hinge.

Anybody need a hood hinge?

These are super Heavy duty and a one banana job. Mine had started to give me mild concussions when it slammed shut.


Google "strong arm hood struts" They have the exact ones for the 80's. The issue becomes hanging on them to shut the hood fairly inexpensive as well!

Does anyone know of a good source for the hydraulic strut replacements? I have the bar installed like you guys are showing. But the struts might be nice to have as well.

I bought the hood prop from cruiserparts, cost me a few bucks, but came with all the parts to install, and works great. I will probably replace the struts eventually, but I have no need currently.
