OEM glass Rock chip fix??? (1 Viewer)

I picked up a rock chip on the windshield and wondered if I should take to a traditional fixit shop. The “star” crack is the size of a nickel. Just wondering if any of you with 30+ year old glass have had issues with modern fixes.

No issues with older glass vs newer glass. Take it somewhere that pulls a vacuum on the crack before injecting the repair liquid. That ensures that there is no moisture in the crack. Although many people complain about Safelite, I have had good luck with them on crack repairs.

X2, Safelite has done them for me, ,may not make it disappear but will keep it from running the crack further.
