Hi, is this an OEM 1982 wheel or aftermarket?

Thanks!

Looks familiar to me! Though mine are likely off of a 60 series, which received the chrome versions in the US in 82, versus the white versions that were on the 40. I like the look, though, and it’s certainly possible that dealers installed some that way initially

Hello,

I am late to the party.

Those wheels look like LX grade for late model 40 Series. They are 15 in., which was a common diameter back in the day.

These wheels were used in the late model, general markets LX grade 40 Series. They were also used on LX/GX grade 60 Series, as well as early model LX grade 70 Series.

70 Series trucks got 16 in. wheels during the 1990s.

As mentioned above, US spec late model 40 Series had white steel wheels, with a triangle pattern if I remember correctly.

It is worth keeping them.

Hi, exactly like mine :-) what size are your BFGs?

Have those same wheels on my '83 FJ40 running 33x9.5x15s. Mine are not original to the 40 but were a dealer option at the time.

The catalog information I am seeing suggests that chrome wheels were only factory-fitted to FJ40s in Europe and Australia.
