I'll take some pics of the new exahust system La Cabra has got after the trip.
Very quiet. Very nice.

Doug, thanks for showing another reason the '93-94s are superior to the '95-97s.

both rear arms it seems!
Amazingly, the driveshaft seems to have escaped OK...

yup, a little too much excitement for me, I'm afraid...

Those trailing arms have been bent for years. If you have a set of Slee's or the really cool custom ones we got from George and David, this is not a concern. I just got back from the Rubicon and my 80 doesn't have a scratch. Norcal guys, watch what you post. I am working hard on Cruiserdan to run it with us next year!

The trailing arms originally got bent on either 80s 'con #1 or #2 -- I'm sure #3 helped bend a bit more :D They've been tweaked for a while. I have new, very stout ones that I need to put on there.

You're more than welcome to ride shotgun anytime.

ya :princess:

So...are you sayin' that there might be a Ruby-con trip some time in the future? ;)

Your 60's looking good after that trip too ;)

both arms eh?
not just the DS...?
then it actually is the rocks, eh? mmmm... :D

I bent my rear lower arms long ago. I think it was right after our first Rubicon trip that I changed them. The factory arms were bent and twisted.

The new arms are very stout. One thing that I really like about them is the fact that the ends are larger than the factory ones. This helps protect the mounts on the frame rail. Most of the blows are absorbed by the arm and the bushings. Not the mounting bracket. The new arms, after 2 years of hard use are straight and with only a few scratches in them.

Here is a pic of the old and new arms.
