We all know the "D" light on the dash should go out first if it already hasnt, so... if your D light is burned out, how many miles is on your truck? Im trying to find an average mileage for this "club". (We should really have the "No D Club") I'm a proud member with 148,000.

Purchased Elsie with 181K and no "D"......

This made me laugh. At least you haven't joined the more notorious clubs.

The blown headgasket or the clicking birfs.

Just went out at 128k miles, good riddance. Now I have to be careful not to whack the dash and bring it back to life.

96 with 129,200 still working.

Mine must have gone out somewhere around 135,000. Was working when I bought it at 126,000. Guess I should mention it's a 97.

My D is still more on than off, but a bit dimmer than the rest and I'm at 190,000kms

you mean there is a light that is supposed to light up?

217,000... Couldn't care less. As mentioned elsewhere, I can generally tell if I am driving!

97 with 180k and no D.

Just got my 95 earlier this month at 265k, no D until I gave the dash a good whack. We'll see how long it lasts!

The "D" just went out on my 96 FZJ80 with almost 172k miles on it. I like it better without the light really.
