I am bringing my 6 year old Townsend on his maiden voyage, so it is Joel +2. I can pitch in and bring food items if you need, Roger, just let me know.

thanks!

Cool! Looks like we will have a nice group of kids... I'll make sure to pack plenty of smores fixins for the night time

Looking forward to it!

Me and the wife + 3 kids. Also what about pulling a 5x8 trailer the whole way through as I'm bringing the whole family if not I'll bring 2 80s

I'm not sure a trailer would work that well, while its not hard core...depending on where we go and what trials taken I'm not sure a trailer can make the turns. There are some places where a 60 and I'm sure an 80 has to back up and take and other cut at the turn...with a trailer that's a no-go. Some of the others might have a different view....but I would not take a trailer in the cove.

I'm not worried about rubbing or dragging it as its on 35s and pretty well built. Really just don't want to bring 2 vehicles

I don't think rubbing will be the problem...I think a hard hit/obstacle will be the problem...if the rear of the 60 can't clear the tree without pulling up and back ...you don't have maneuver room for a trailer to do that. See what Andy or Roger has to say...before you jump in with the trailer...I just think the angles are too tight for a trailer to work (in places), not everywhere.. I'm sure there are some alt paths to the camp site or camp sites..but see what they say.. I'm assuming they may shoot for one night camping at the larger camp site I'm thinking of thats right near the river/creek bed. Check in with Andy or Roger....for their perspective. I don't recall seeing trailers on the rides there before.

Are you worried about room for gear or people's or both, maybe we can divide things up into rigs that have extra room, I know I will have extra space and a spare seat. I can swing by your place and load some of your stuff, I'm trailering mine so I have room in the pickup as well. Just offering.

if a trailer is a no go, ill just bring 2 vehicles, my son's 4runner is ready or ill bring a couple of 80s

The main trail would be possible with a trailer, one of the big issues is that a number of areas of the main trail have turned into mud bogs and the bypasses wind through the woods. As Elbert mentioned a 60 has to do a multi point turn to get through these areas. Another issues, rumor is that one of the property owns has had it with trash and vandalism and has gated part of the trail, so not sure what the work around is going to look like.
The main trail through the cove is an old county road though not maintain is still on the books.

Yeah, what they said, Barry. 2 rigs may be better for maneuvering through the trails, but Andy has a better knowledge of the Cove terrain. Glad you're coming out, dude!
