We are planning the ride for Jan. 1-3 in the Cove, as long as the weather guessers are not calling for rain.
Meet at Andy's shop in Jssper at 9 AM CST.

I'm a maybe. Not because I fear the Cove. But, because we may be in GA that weekend.

@FJCRAWLER, I found a redneck version of the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" mod for you.

have to understand the area to take into consideration the consternation with the rain. This place is interlaced with creeks/river and has steep inclines and descents (relative to the area). so when it rains the creeks and river rise fast and can flood rather fast...and if you are on the wrong side of the water at the wrong time...you may have to wait it out for the water level to rescind so its safe to cross. Many times crossing water with the water level mid way up your door and very close to cresting the hood (depending on vehicle). Fast moving water....has no problem pushing your truck around ....it can get scary from the actual water level and the force of the water. Never stop moving forward, it you stop you have problems...

A lot of the trail is actually a creek bottom or flood plain...so that makes things a challenge when entering or exiting the area.

@theron last year after some overnight rains

For reference, Andy runs 39s I believe. Think they decided the water was close to 4' at this particular spot

So the big question for me is: bring gypsy (the 80 series), or bring Mello Yello (the 40) on her maiden voyage... If I bring the 40 it's tent camping all the way, if I bring the 80 it's leather seats and cozy sleeping platform...

Thoughts?!

No trailers at the cove! I would bring it, but you have to wheel the entire day to get to the camp site (at least that's what we did last year)....

s***, Daniel, you were there, I don't need to tell you, lol. Imagine if I brought the trailer and dragged it through those rivers
at least we could get somebody to teen wolf the trailer..."these waves are mine!!!"
