...Guy showed up at the north portal to introduce himself and show off his red 40 but did not accompany us on the run....

Franklin's new used Jeep 80. Ash in foreground making sure to get a whipping when the chains snap. At this point, Franklin was becoming familiar with locking rear diffs.

Ali doing his thing with Jarred, Daisy and Andrew "supervising".

and "one of these rigs is not like the others..." cuz it's smelly and belongs on the wrong side of the road (but is still very cool Jarred)

This must be the first thread where the kids had more pics posted than the trucks.

My first thought of the pics too. I tried to balance it a little with more trucks. Franklin countered my efforts.

C'mon now, every one of my pics had a truck in it... :D

And besides, pappy started it...

GUILTY and proud of it! Marc did his share too.

We made pretty good progress so the only time I spent enough time out of the truck to take pictures was lunch, when the kids were having a blast.

It was a good run indeed.

Good job to the guys up front in deciding to turn around instead of plowing further. It can be a tough call when to turn around but it was very nice to return to the pavement before sun down. Everyone had an enjoyable time w/o any drama, trauma.

A family friendly outing such as this one was, having a "boring" trail run is not a bad thing!
