So i'm curious and I was reading about a new Toyota pink anti-freeze thats out for the new trucks these days. is that what would be in my 06 4runner in place of Toyota Red?

I would go out and look, but I only seem to think about this at work and never remember to check when I get home.

Your runner should have the new stuff (sllc-super long life coolant). transition from old (llc) to new happened around 04 model year. New stuff is pretty good. Costs the same per gallon but it is pre-mixed with distilled water so you have to buy twice as much.

Thanks Ben - Now Ige won't have to email me a reminder:D

Romer,
The pink stuff isn't interchangeable w/ red (you prob. already knew that :) ). You also have WS tranny fluid- it's suppossed to be lifetime but you can still change it- no dipstick anymore...

WS? Is that water soluble?

World Standard. I think Toyota is moving to "sealed" trannies w/ lifetime fluild. It's quite expensive, I think. I'm very skeptical, esp for offroading purposes.

Thanks guys. Good info. Didn't know on the tranny. Will save me some time when I go out to check fluids (Not wondering where the fawk the dipstick is)
