Never saw that movie, but I can't imagine they've been through as much as this truck has... ;)

Engine running in MAF elimintation mode
So the tuner needs to use stock MAF to provide air temp to the stock ECU
So some rewiring of the engine harness needs to happen
The new (MAPECU) ecu can clamp it off to the stock ecu so it only sees X voltage

Fun stuff :)

Should still be on track for July 10th completion... Fingers are crossed.

If I'm being totally honest I don't have a clue as to what any of that means but I'm real happy you are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
 
Basically the stock computer needs to know the temperature of the air entering the engine - so he needs to use the stock mass airflow (MAF) meter to provide that data.

But yeah, it's a little above my pay-grade as well.
 
This is why I have a guy that does all that for me, it'll make ya bug nuts
Electrical wiring I can handle, electronics are a different ball game, all plug and play on my end
 
So apparently if all goes well, it'll be tuning today.

Reworking IC piping, and it should be done. Target date is Wednesday.....

I feel your pain bro and you must be the most patient man in the world. I'm extremely patient but would be spitting nails and breathing fire by now. LOL

And yeah, I'm pretty patient - spitting nails and breathing fire is only reserved for situations that I feel might benefit from that approach. Ya know, cable companies, Lab Corp, At&T, Verizon, etc...

Motor is idling, but won't rev up - problem with the ECU communicating with the injectors.

DAMMIT. Hasn't said it won't be ready, but he didn't have to...
