It's fast approaching "time capsule" status.

Fast forward to 2075 two guys come across a half buried garage and pry their way in.

"Look Iknjdgthwa, that appears to be a late century Land Cruiser with what appears to be an early attempt at after market turbo charger"

"Yeah Nhtylbco, silly tuners huh"

:)

Yeah. The humor of this part of his journey is pretty played out. We need a new problem to make fun of. :hillbilly:

Hey Hippie, wanna buy a watch?

see watch name

Shinola, memories of waxing shoes and boots in the ole army... That was good stuff. Probably had asbestos.....and lead...

Looking back through this thread, has the truck really been in the shop for a full year?

It's brilliant to the point I'm sorry I didn't think of it. Storage can be big bucks and James has zero room in his driveway. 30 minutes of Google research and he's on his way to the shop with worst reviews for turnaround time.

Truly is brilliant! $75 a month minimum to store a vehicle with 12 months of storage. That's $900! What are you going to have the shop do next James? Install a snorkel?

Can't you guys read, JohnVee said the joke is over and it's not funny anymore

I think that is part of his BOD position to make such determinations

Oh believe me it's still funny :)

If I didn't find humor in things I'd be dead by now.

For clarity it's more like 11 months as of the end of August.

Yessir, James must have learned something during his 3 days at MIT! In another 6 years, it'll be like the truck paid for itself when you consider the value of the free storage. And isn't there a custom exhaust coming up next?

James, you are far more patient than I am.

So when I do finally get the "It's done" note - I'll be trying to put together a HAMOM to get the other stuff put on:

4x4 labs rear bumper
Spare tire
Crusin Offroad skid plates
Nitro axles and burfields
CDL switch
CB/Antenna/Stereo
Pinshu Design roof rack.

I'm hoping we can schedule this for 2 weeks from now :) so like 9/27... Hoping a lot of folks can come out and help - it's a good excuse to drink a few beers and laugh at the misfortune of waiting a year for a turbo upgrade...

4 hamoms in a month is insane, but at this point I think the whole club would make it to this one. :) I know I would.

Will be happy to help as I can. Don't drink beer so that isn't a problem and I sure won't laugh at the time it took to complete the turbo upgrade. Your patience is much better than mine!
