Right from the back of the brake light switch. I think it is grey with a white stripe.

For easier access, you can also trace the brake wire down the side kick panel. There is a connector that makes it easy to test.

Seemed pretty easy the way I did it too... find the correct wire in the diagram and tap into it. LOL

I think I will try yours hoser.
See if I can find the correct wire. I had a look at the brake light itself which had 3 wires. So if I can trace those 3 wires ibehind the panel and the connector I can test it with a digital volt meter. Where did you get the power from? Directly from the battery or from an ignition powered source?
This side kick panel is under the steering wheel?

Just so everybody know, the Lexus pulled great! Much better than I was expecting.
Last weekend I pulled the rear panel again, found the green/white wire at the rear brake light and tapped in from there.
Ran the wire back behind the panel, under the sil covers up the driverside (right side for us) and connected it to the brake controller.
Now to get the power to the controller. Do you guys run a dedicated wire from the battery?

Yes, I ran a dedicated wire for the controller and a different one from the 7-way plug to the battery. I also fused both of them.

LT from MetalTech stopped by my house on his way home last night with some freshly welded Outpost sliders!!! (Talk about awesome service... I really think he just wanted a beer or two.

Any thoughts on the two mounting points? I've been scared of three on LC's versus the FJC I came from.

I believe the non-ahc sliders have 3 legs... For me it's not going to be a big deal.

I have OPOR sliders (MT made) with 3 legs and after installing/reinstalling about 5 times I wish mine had only 2 instead of 3 legs. The 3rd, middle mounting leg makes contact with the body of he LC due to the MT mounting flange. 2 legs is plenty sturdy to take the weight of the car. I wish I could have ordered mine with with only 2 legs. The groaning sound of the body/slider contact drives me crazy.

I really don't get this sunroof... First rain and it's leaking all over the place from (what seems like) between the glass and the frame that the glass sits in. However, I let it sit for 2 days while it was monsooning out and there isn't a drop. *sigh* I really need to figure out how to fix this!
