question for ya, how do you clean out the sunroof? and to raise the spare tire, I actually went ahead and did the exact same thing, did every single flush, belt and brakes :X set me back a pretty penny!

If you look at the FAQ thread that is stickied, you can find info on both cleaning the sunroof drains and raising the spare tire. My issue is not the sunroof drains, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point... It's just leaking enough to piss me off!

I agree that this is costing me a bit but hopefully I won't have to do anything else to her for a few years. (One can hope, right?)

Well, the timing belt / water pump project is done. The spark plugs are replaced, throttle body cleaned and the fuel filter is changed. Just need to finish the oil change, coolant flush, cabin air filters, fix sun roof leak and remove the roof rack!

Any tips on the timing/water pump. Did you encounter anything hard. Only thing I'm worrying about is torquing that one bolt on the crank pulley. I think it was rated at 180 or something ft/lbs.

The only thing that was tricky was the crank pulley bolt. We loosened it with the starter due to not having the special tool. Torquing it down to 180 ft lbs wouldn't be difficult with the tool but since I didn't have one, I used a bunch of Loc-Tite and impacted the pee-pee out of it. When I do my Dad's here in a couple months, I will have the tool!

Another trick, the FSM says to adjust the timing 50* off TDC. I couldn't figure out why so I didn't... Bad move! The way that the compression stroke is set makes putting the timing belt on so much easier.

Like I said before, it isn't difficult at all. Keep everything organized and take your time. The write-ups on here and the FSM help a lot. All in all, it's fun!

A summer rain proved that my sunroof is still leaking... I'm not thrilled. Why oh why couldn't they sell a stripped 105 in the states?!?

On a happier note, I got the CB installed to go along with the 2m... Now my LX looks like a rolling antenna. Oh well, it should be all set for me to take her on the trail for the first time at the end of the month. Is there any other 100's going on McGrew this year?

So I finally got to wheel the LX! I took it on this years annual McGrew Trail Ride hosted by Jefferson State Cruisers. I still don't have the LX set up to tow and 580 mi in the mini truck sounded horrible! I must say I am very, very impressed on how well it worked... It was also kinda cool having the only 100-series up there. Next year you guys will have to man up and join me!

Wheres da pics? :flipoff2:

I was hoping for some more pics of the Lexus on the trails... oh well.

We need to take that and my Runner out one of these days for a non-hardcore trail run.

Always seems that way. All I saw at GSMTR was picture takers. I must of thought I'd see a 100 of my truck....I think there was a picture of the rear end in the background. And I was about 300 feet away so you could barely tell it was me....

but everybody else... Plenty of pictures to decorate their hallway.

Okay, I figured I should show you all the stuff that I've done in the last few months. Please excuse the mess, I usually don't clean my cars! LOL

2m Ham mounting location. It's hard to hide a FT2800 and still make it usable:

It worked so well I matched it with my CB:

Just kidding. I mounted it here. It's out of the way and works great with the new trailer.

I also installed my AirRite bags. I am running seperate lines and needed a place to mount them that wouldn't get damaged. Here is what I came up with... Looks good to me!

We will see how she handles the trailer and the mini truck on Thursday!

For the brake controller, where did you get the brake signal from?
