Ok, got the font worked out and had a set made and installed. They are a perfect match and will cost around $25 for the set in all colors of premium vinyl. The reflective stuff is almost 3 times as much at $60, but is a little greyer in daylight than I wanted. I never found any info if our trucks came with the letters highlighted, but I like the look.

I also made a cool discovery on the tailgate issue. I was debating on what type of cables/chains to run on the tailgate and started looking at newer trucks. It turns out that my 03 Dodge Ram has cables that are within 1/4 inch of allowing the tailgate to sit perfectly parallel with the bed. The Dodge upper retaining bolt was used in the factory 45 hole with a nut on the back side. On the tailgate end, I made a bushing and used a nut and bolt to fasten to the stock mount, but keep the cable loose so it can move with the tailgate.

Very slick - thanks for the pictures.

Letters look great. What brand of bed liner did you use, it also looks very nice?

The inside of the box, the "running boards", the rear fenders and the interior are all coated in color-matched Line-X.
