Gave the valve cover a deep clean and “surface protectant” treatment. Took the opportunity to replace the gasket and grommets. Substantial improvement.

What surface protectant did you use?

PB Blaster Surface Shield. Similar to Fluid Film but Harbor Freight has it so I thought I would give it a shot. I have no experience with Fluid Film but this stuff seems to grease things up pretty well.

60 series MC?

I believe so. I need to verify but I would guess whoever built this would not use the 80 series four wheel disc version. It barely fits in there with the booster but it does clear the carb.
