I'm in CLT about to take over ownership of my Aunt's 2008 200 - looking for a shop rec. I can and will do a lot, but not everything. Thanks!

What are you looking for the shop to do?? Baseline or modify the 200??
Yes :D. But for now baseline. I don't have a lift and not sure level of effort on starter r&r.

For mods, Looking hard at Bud Built when the time comes.

I’ve been very happy with Mark & Johnny at Toyota Techs in Fort Mill, but have only used them for repair/maint, and all around good advice (I haven’t had any mods done, but I believe they do them). It’s a bit of a drive for me (SE Charlotte), but has been worth it as they have been helpful, friendly, honest, and very reasonably priced on any work I’ve had done to my 80, to one of my kids’ 06 4Runner, and to another one of my kids’ 06 RX330 (who were on crushing college budgets). All the best in your new endeavor!

H&H on South Blvd. Dean Mandrapilias is a Land Cruiser guru. Where in Charlotte are you?

In town, Cotswold area, used to live in Dilworth, think I know the place. Thanks!

As you probably already know, you are SURROUNDED by Land Cruisers!
Yes! Saw a really sweet newer 200 black one, tastefully light build going out of our hood the other day almost chased the guy down to meet him lol :D. I'm excited, going to really enjoy LC ownership I believe. Goal is 500k and then who knows :).

I’m in charlotte and work in the Cotswold area. I see an older 60 series usually sitting in the shopping center parking lot. And saw someone with a nicely built super clean 80 series at the circle K the other day in Cotswold. Not sure if that’s any of you guys.

And there's a 'well used' blue . . . 80? I think? (edit: 60. Still learning to properly ID) on Water Oak near Linda. Blue. Nice 'patina' ;) For a while it sat out on Water Oak with some half flat tires.

Thanks all for the input, got an initial PPI/once over appt at H&H for next week and the journey really will begin in earnest.

where do you guys get alignments done? Is that something you’d take to even a mr. tire or somewhere more specialized?
What truck do you drive? If it is SFA, just do it yourself. Edit: I did a little sleuthing and determined you have a 100 series. DIY may not work for you.

Nothing special about alignment on these trucks. Just take it to any reputable alignment shop. Firestone would be fine.

Bump, any other in-town rec's in Charlotte proper?
