New LED dome modules

these will fit the fj55's as well, just fyi, I tested one in the pig light and it should fit......

What do you do to make the dome module fit in the rear interior light in a 60? The stock bulb is longer in the rear.

They will also fit into the dome of Gen 1 4Runners (at least they fit into an 85). I bought 2 for the 80 but tried one in the 4Runner. Yes, now I need more!

I've just run a new batch of LED modules. These use 90 lumen/watt (minimum) Rebel leds in Neutral white. From my tests they are definitely 'warmer' white than the previous Cold whites that I used. I find that the Neutrals provide somewhat better colour rendering and are still very bright. Neutral or Cold are definitely a personal preference.

Anyhow, just a heads up that the new ones have a warmer tint that might appeal to some folk.

Thanks George, just got all 3 of mine today. 1 was going to be a spare/tinkering device, but I found it fit in my 2000 Corolla dome. So all are in use, like headlights for the interior I'm going to be spoiled by these now when I get into any other car. Thanks!

It doesn't fit in the supra because there is no dome light, the map lights double for that job. Oh well.

George, got the LED modules in the mail yesterday and installed them tonight in my '93 FZJ80 LC. They are so AWESOME! The LEDs are beyond comparison in terms of light output. Installation was a cinch and did not have to remove the heat shield (like your directions noted). The light is soft and not blaring. Thanks. Money, well spent!

There is another thread on the 80 forum that they are trying to get George to build new boards for the dome lights. Search is your friend as I do not recall the specifics....
