sounds good. I know you are the chosen one. And this is up to you but what if we figured out a way to do axle rebuilds for both you and Andy. I don't know how but it might be worth a shot. I know Andy is in need and I want to help him out as much as you and we could do two in the same amout of time it would take to do one. JUst think about it. You have some time.

I don't think andy's axle needs a rebuild it just needs a new hub seal right???

I will mull this over for the next month or so :D

Well since Marshall is nudging you in that direction JP, I'll jump in... :D

You're right, my hub seal is definitely blown on the left front (most likely due to the West coast hydraulic bounce Marshall got on video at Uwharrie :D ) but I need the front axle rebuilt while I am at it, too.

My local guy swears he's gonna have some time in May, but I am not buying it anymore. David has a guy in Asheville I was thinking about calling soon and just take it to him and be done with it.

If you guys figure out a place, I could always roll down that way in the 40 for a double axle rebuild. And like I always say, if at any point you guys want a change of venue (or if I am ever blessed enough to win HAMOM :D) my house is always available for a work weekend. I have tons of room for parking and for folks to crash - 3,000 square feet and it's just me...

I might be able host it if we wanna make it a 3x job :) Or I could just pay alot of attention so I know what to do when I do mine.

Who says we can't do two cruisers at a time?

Andy, why don't you bring your stuff down here when we have the HAMOM for my 40? My work will be done at Alan's in Cleveland, SC and beleive me, there will be lots of room.

yeah i still gota rebuild mine...and mine really just needs the one side gound back smooth...i.e. marshall or alan's expertise in that. and then it's just puttin it all back togther....besides the bitchin knuckles gettin them off, it should only take 10 min to put back together.

Hey Chuck maybe you should just try working on your cruiser sometime outside of the HAMOM. Since all it has done is sit in your driveway since Feb. I think I could have built an entire house and still gotten your cruiser running by now. Lets see some progress. JP and I dont do craop during the week you could have had lots of help if youd just asked.

Rudy shut the hell up...you don't have any room to talk. Before the other week the only time you ever worked on your cruiser was when your gf wasn't around. You're so dang whipped that you can't stand up to her and tell her you just want a day for workin on your cruiser. To fill you in why my 40 has been sitting is due to work....for the first 3 months I was drivin the cruiser back and forth to spartanburg and filling up 3 times a week..you do the math on how much I was spending. Therefore I had to prioritize what I could spend the rest of my money on and once all that was done there wasn't much left to spend on the cruiser. And up to the day of my HAMOM I had everything I needed to complete the jobs...well that day we discovered that the roller bearings and rod in the t case and the one side of the axle were "bad" and needed replacing and grinding. Well the new parts weren't in my budget so therefore the t case has been sitting. So the next time you wanna start jumpin over me again about my cruiser get your s*** straight.

Alright now calm down. I'm the only one allowed to get pissed off around here.:D

As I see it both of you have come a long way on your cruisers in the past year. The main reason I did HAMOM (Help A Member Of the Month). Was to light a fire under those people to get them interesed in there cruisers again. It looks like I have accomplished that goal. I have faith in CHuck getting his cruiser running again. I just think he has other things on his mind right now.;) As well as I. I want to see his cruiser running probably more than he does. Just like I did with Richards pig. Thats just the way I am. I have a tendancy to put the needs of others in front of mine.

I see no problem in ragging each other. But there is a line not to cross. We all have different goals in life. One of the goals of the club is to keep you interested in cruisers and I'd say for the past year that has been accomplished.

Ya'll have a good weekend.

Sorry it took me so long to respond but I was working on my cruiser today. First off my gf doesnt stop me from working on my cruiser she likes me too. Not that it makes any difference. I seem to recall when I came to the club you had a running driving cruiser and I had a $1 rusted piece of steel with no engine. Somehow in 2 yrs Ive rebuilt most of a cruiser and you've digressed. I'm just trying to light a fire in you Chuck there plenty of stuff to do on that rig that would cost little or no money to do. And theres plenty of people around who will help you do it. I just want to see it get out there again.

This Saturday

Okay fellers...please let me know who is coming out to Alan's this Saturday to help me with my 40.

Most of the work I need is cleaning and dissasembly of parts off doors, tub, windshield. Also, need to install a rigid brakeline on the rear of the beast.

Of course, we'll have BBQ something:ban:

Hopefully I can make it out but between work and moving out of the house it might be tighter then I thought. If I dont make it hope you fellas get a lot done.

Will you need some jack stands or floor jack?
Start time Presidente?

Start time is 10am Saturday and we'll break around 12:30 for eats. No, I don't need floor jacks nor stands.

Thanks!!
