New F & 2F carbs

Well, I almost burnt my 60 to the ground this weekend. Orig. carb was boiling gas something fierce. Scary. I'm thinking it's time for a Trollhole carb w/ high alt. jets. Got any in stock?

Marshall,

What size are the threads you tapped into the fuel inlet?

I want to try to get a barbed fitting to screw into the carb so I can run a temporary soft fuel line from my stock hard fuel line to reach around to the front of the carb. I'm trying to accommodate the relocated fuel inlet (from valve cover side, to front of the carb).

I'm planning on eventually bending a new hard fuel line to go from the fuel pump to the new carb...

What I would do is just use a short piece of hard line and use the compression nut with it.

Pretty sure it used British Pipe threads and is going to be a pain finding something that will work without screwing up the threads.

Hey Trollhole, why isn't the return fuel line required on these carbs?

TIA

These carbs were designed for use with the newer fuel pumps that have a return feature on the pump. The 60 series and the last couple of years of 40's had that type of fuel pump.

They will work without a return, but may cause some vapor lock under some conditions. The majority of the time you do not need a fuel return, but while idling for long periods the pump may push more fuel than the carb will need, so the extra goes back to the tank. On older models the return was on the carb. The newer settup just returned un-needed fuel from the pump itself.

Great product

Any one that is undecided about this product should go ahead and buy one, you can not beat the price, it is a quality piece and the customer service is second to none. Marshall can even adjust them over the phone. And he will if you need him to.
Thank you Marshall for your help and for a great product at a fair price.

marshall,
Do you know what the CFM is on these carbs? Scanned through the thread and didn't see it anywhere, might have missed it though....

Tks Marshall. Sounds like it's quite a bit more than my weber 32/36 at any rate.

Hey, I love this idea! Seems well received by the guys would know.

I started the "Carburator Blues" thread and wonder if you have a new/replacement carb solution for me? You'll see the Dizzy and vac retard setup I have now. And would like to stay close to the stock look. What mods would I need to make for my 75? And what kind of performance/mileage would I expect from your product?

Please take at look at my thread and let me know!

Thanks!

Carlos

What is the eta on the dizzys?

Marshall, I recieved and installed your carb today in just a few minutes, the cruiser started right up and only required a slight idle adjustment. Thanks for great product and quick shipping.

What is the eta on the dizzys?

Maybe sooner than expected. I might have a dozen or so by this weekend.

I'll explain.

I actually have had a hundred or so dizzys for almost 8 months now. I wasn't impressed with how they were put together. I had to spend lots of hrs making each one right. So I stopped selling them.

But Today I will recieve my Sun Distributor tester and be able to basically test every dizzy out prior to shipping. If any need to be recurved I can now handle that.

Also I should in the next few months after getting some experience be able to do dizzy recurves.

Put me down for one and let me know when to paypal ya...
I am DOA right now....

The dizzy will have to be set up for unsmogged non-US carbed motor.
