Sorry no some of them will be going out today. I'm working from the people who paid first and working my way up.

Also I inspect every carb and repack it before it ships out and that takes a little time.

no worries, I was just curious.

Marshall,

I"m going to pull the trigger on one of these, do you have any pics yet of the cable bracket for a 1F settup. I'm curious if I need it or not. I have already rigged mine up with a 2F carb and cable. Would also want the return tapped.

I also wanted a distributor, are you expecting more of these in the near future? Still offering a combo package like before?

Marshall, just got the carb installed and it works great. Never new it could run so smooth. Seems to run out of ooomph on the mid/higher end of the rpm range. Do I need to adjust my timing? Thanks again.

wires

Question for Marshall or for who ever knows, trying to get as much stuff ready as i can before carb gets here. I do not know what plug i need for new carb. Old one has two, booth green factory plugs and new one only has one wire. I have read this post and know i only need one but which one ? Thanks in advance, Steve

Would there be any issues running this carb with a mallory uni-lite distributer, no vac. advance?

I'm running a single point Mallory with the unilite retrofitted to it, no vacum advance with a similar carb settup. No real issues, you should run fine.

Vacum advance is just a better way to do it, more realistic timing curve acheived based on engine load, not just what the distributor thinks it should be.

They can stand alone though no problem.

It shouldn't run out of ooomph at the higher rpms. What is your timing currently set at?

Also just make sure the secondary is opening up at full throttle. Place a paperclip on the secondary vacuum actuator right below where the flat shaft goes into the housing. Then run it and see if the clip moves down on the shaft. It should.

You can call me after 5 if you have any problems. 864-414-0563 marshall.

mine should arrive tomorrow

My question is the charcoal vacuum line. Since there is no place on the new carb, what do I do with the charcoal canister vacuum?

Plug it? But what about the draw of gas vapors thru the canisters?

Don't know what to do with it.

thx and grateful one is coming

either just let it vent to the atmosphere or hook it to the air cleaner (this is what I did on mine).

The canister dumps vapors into the manifold below the carb. The line on the carb draws vapors from the float bowl. You can cap it at the charcoal canister. But leave the charcoal canister system intact as it vents the tank and has no ill effects on the engine. Leave the VCV for the charcoal system, as it regulates when the vapors are dumped in, primarily when engine is up to temp and cruising down the road.

now it makes sense as there are TWO draw hoses as you point out.

thx

Sent the funds

I just sent the funds. Could you please send a carb with the high altitude jets?

Thanks
Mort

I watched Trollhole install one of his carbs on a truck last weekend, hooked her up, turned the key and she ran almost perfectly off the bat without any adjustments. Troll adjusted the idle down a bit and we were golden!
