I pulled the trigger on 37" KO2s this week, and I have to say I love them. Extremely smooth and great manners on the road - hoping to test them off road very soon.
What is the actual measurement? I just ordered 37" General Grabbers on Friday but I'm contemplating canceling and getting these instead.

Mounted on my JKUR they are measuring 35.5". They are obviously smaller and lighter than most 37s, but that is exactly what I was looking for.

Gotcha, that's what I figured. My grabbers are already in route, but I will save up and get a set of these next winter for sure.

Update: My spare started to split in the same way after a few hundred miles. I returned to discount. The first time they told me they'd never seen anything like it, and that I could warranty them for 90% of what I paid.. When I went back to do that they switched, said it was offroad damage and I was stuck with them. I sent another email to BFG, hopefully they'll take care of it.

Is anyone running the ko2 in LT235/85R16 or LT265/75R16? Any feedback would be great. I'm interested in running either size on my '91 fj80. Just can't decide on which one.

Talked to BFG today on the phone, they're taking care of me, 100% replacement. I'm most likely going to switch to KM2s as well. Excellent customer service.

Discount Tire on the other hand.. They're on my list now.

Add another set being claimed under warranty. Just wish I would have paid closer attention sooner, but I hadn't looked at this thread for months. My 295/75r16's had 2/32" wear on all tires so I had to pay 15% for replacement's per their "prorated" usage. Think that is kind of garbage considering they are 6 months old and had 7,800 miles on them. Defective product, is a defective product. But for peace of mind I didn't complain too much. New tires will be in next week.

Bought my BFG AT/KO's right before the KO2's came out guess I'm lucky

I'm definitely a fan of how they perform personally over the ko's I had on a Tundra. Hopefully it isn't wide spread and potentially just limited to a few weeks of production. One of the tires was made the 40th week of 2015 and the other three were the 42nd week. Honestly they might have been fine for the life of the tires and not cracked anymore, but in my opinion the risk of my family in the vehicle verse a catastrophic failure was not an option. Either way tread lugs separating from each other shouldn't be happening. I would encourage all to check their tires weekly.

I would of bought the KO2's if they were out but had KO's for 80k+ miles on two trucks in the past and they alway balanced, wore evenly and always got me home. It's like my 100 series. Old but I like it

I just started hearing that BFG has had some problems with compounding for the KO2s and KM2s. Hope they it fixed!

Had one of these batches I guess. Exactly the same as what has been described above. Going in to have the shop take a look. Customer service has been friendly so far. Will report back on how it goes.

Mine have been great so far, hope I don't have the cracking like the above posts!

Not to resurrect a dead thread - but I wanted to share my experience with KO2's in the snow vs. actual snow tires.

I put KO2s on my '95 80-series. My wife has a Sequoia with that we put Blizzaks DM-V2s on in the winter, since we live in North Idaho and do quite a bit of winter road-tripping in her car.

The KO2s are far better in the snow than any other A/T tire I've ever driven. Fine for getting around town, and predictable on anything this side of sheet ice. But the Blizzaks are night and day better in the snow.

One week in January we were both coming back to our house from town during a freezing rain, which was falling on top of snow. The slickest roads we've had all year. The first 100' of our gravel driveway is pretty steep, steep enough that FWD cars have a bit of trouble sometimes even during the summer.

My wife went first, and just drove straight up it in her Blizzaks. I watched her tires spin just a touch at the very top, and thought "oh, maybe it's not so bad."

I made sure I had some momentum, and went for it. About 3/4 up, I totally lost traction and ended up sliding down backwards. I tried 3 more times and even did a 180 sliding down backwards on a couple tries.

Finally, I remembered that I was in a Land Cruiser, put it in 4low and locked both my diffs, and barely made it up on the 4th try.

When I got up to the house, my wife who'd had no trouble at all asked, "what took you so long?"

The KO2s are a great tire, and if you only get occasional snow or don't do any road-tripping or highway driving during the winter, you could definitely keep them on for 4-seasons. But if you're planning to do a significant amount of highway winter driving, I'd invest in a pair of actual, dedicated snow tires.
