Looks awesome! Look forward to seeing more mods. How is the stance now?

Looking good, Lou. New UCA will be my next purchase. After installing the OME lift, my camber is maxed out and I'm still a little out of spec. It drives fine but no need in wearing a set of new tires out over a $500 set of UCA.

Still a little stink bug but I'm going Have my guys at Lexus turn the torsion bars a bit more before I do the alignment. I seriously don't think it's my imagination but when I first got the truck I thought the turning radius was really wide but now that I put on the new UCA's this thing turns extremely tight. When we pulled the tires off I could see where the tire were rubbing the OEM UCA's so they might have limited how much the wheels could turn

No doubt the new UCA's will help. Sounds like it's coming together.

I'm one of 4 new cars managers and run a sales team out of the service dept. Our showroom is 4 blocks away and we have approx 200 service clients a day so we have a small team at service to help clients interested in upgrading to something new or pre-owned.

What do the SPC upper control arms do for an LC? Your truck is so clean, I assume this was a performance upgrade, not a repair.

Yes, I ordered them from Slee...recommended when doing a lift

From Slee's site

SPC Upper Control Arms
Toyota Trucks and SUV's run out of factory adjustment when you install a lift. These upper control arms provide an additional +/- 2 degrees of camber and 0 degree to + 4 degree of caster change. Assembled with an OE style ball joints and new Spec Ride (TM) bushings, these arm's are designed to correct alignment angles while maintaining factory ride quality.

Adjustment Range:
Camber +/- 2.00 degree
Caster 0.0 degree to +4.00 degree

  • Brought the truck to work for alignment after turning the torsion bars and installing the new SPC upper control arms. One of the upper OEM cam bolts was stripped so I ordered all new bolts, nuts and washers for the upper control arms... and had my guys at work install the new bolts do the alignment and everything is good go
  • I also ordered new front headlight that I'll retrofit with the HID bulbs and clear lens.. I tried to buy two used ones from a junkyard thinking I could save a ton of money but they wanted $365 a side ....my parts guy sold them to me for $350 and they are on eBay for $354 brand-new OEM.. I want the extra set of headlights because I'm going to play around with those LED projectors out of the LS 460 that I have to see if I can stuff those LED projectors into a set of LX headlights

My 07 headlights plastic lens are hazy. I would love new glass. buff your old ones and send them to me...

If your plastic lens is hazy a headlight resto kit should fix that.. but my drivers side headlight has a few small cracks in the plastic because someone dropped it :crybaby:

So the new lights arrived and went straight into the oven for 8 min at 275° .opened them up and removed the two screws that secured the lens frame to the projector. Removed the lenses which exposed two little slots inside the projector.
I've seen a couple of retrofit images that show four light images above the cut off...you can one of them above my bench test image... I'm assuming coming from those slots... I used JB Weld to fill the slots.
I played around with the spacers.... adding 2 spacers plus the one OEM spacer and that combo gave me a pretty sharp cut off.
The TSX clear lens will require a rubber gasket between the lens and the lens frame retainer.. without the rubber gasket the lens will move around because it has a slightly different shape than the OEM lens.
Should be in the truck in the next few days

Installed the Grom Audio BT3 this evening... The hardest part was removing the wood below the Nav screen but I got help from one of the techs at work. He told me to turn up the heat and let it run for ten minutes on high fan. They've seen the wood crack trying to pry it off when it's really cold. So like a good soldier I followed his instructions and he delicately remove the wood trim ... removed the radio
Plugged in the Grom unit...I now have Bluetooth audio and couldn't be happier

I called a fellow Mudder who's local to me regarding tire size for my LX because he has a 100 series and 80 series. I asked him specifically about 295 70/18 tires and to my surprise he had 5 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 with 4000 miles on them sitting in his basement that he was to selling... mounted and balanced today and will have to breakout the heat gun as they just touch while turning

I've been trying to find a single 295/70/18 for months, do you need that fifth tire?

Edit, nevermind, didn't get far enough along in the thread...

Why don't you just order one from Tire Rack?
