And started looking into financing the motor swap b/c you know, I'm all about out of patience! Not as bad as I thought. 20K @ 6%, $386/mo. Pay it off in 18-24 months. . .sounds good to me but let's see if Mel's "I'm all in..." comment holds true, lol.

I did a lot of the footwork but ordered this part while Beno was on hiatus. But. . .when I told him about the part, he looked it up and sure enough, there were 5 available. Check with him - if it's a no-go, I'll see if I can get it for you.

Jeeeebus...those are some nice parts....and it is sooooo much easier to just get a 62 and work backwards into the round headlights. Hell, the Japanese fellas making 62's at the plant even included the cool dash, 4.11s, seatbelts, headrests, trussed front axle, and a fuel injector thing. They didn't tell you all that during your 'cruiser adoption hearings??
They did s*** the bed on the transmission and headlights though, I'll give you that much.

@Skniper: Yeah. . .I know but I'm a sucker for punishment and an even bigger sucker for the round-eye sickness. Wait - did I mention I'm a sucker for NOS parts? It's a disease and I seem to be in the 'feed it' mode at the moment.
ADD? Me, that's so funny bc - insert 12 interruptive thoughts now - what were we talking about? It's a blessing and a curse, but has served me well for the most part (might be a different story if you ask those close to me). Add to the mix I have no garage, extremely limited experience, depend on my friend Darren for my hands-on tech help/learning...it's a perfect example for the erratic nature of my build - and I can only assume this frenzy will continue into the foreseeable future.
But. . .house is close to being ready to be put on the market. Then...holding my breath...Shane gets his near-dream garage. You know, the one on a piece of property with nominal neighborly contact, fresh water supply/storage, and no HOA bull**** =)

As some of you know, my mom has been fighting the fight the past couple of years. I lost her yesterday - think she simply became inpatient and wanted to join my father in whatever hooligan activities he's up to throughout the universe.
I'm going to be MIA for maybe a week. Those of you I'm working deals with - nothing will change and when I have my personal affairs handled, I'll expedite whatever's needed to handle my MUD obligations.
