damn....must...get...one. Can't wait to see this installed...hopefully its a nice/easy plug and play.

Gas stops officially reduced by 50%

Yes.... for a while..

But after the thrill is gone, you'll get tired of lugging that extra 125 lbs of gas around at every fill up.

I've had a 49 gal tank for 25 years. On long trips it is awesome. Also when I was commuting 75 miles a day, the big tank was great. I'd fill up gas twice a month.

But if you're not driving the cruiser too much (like I'm not at the moment) you're really not going to want to fill up the tank past 1/2. Today's ethanol 'contaminated' gasoline stratifies quickly in the tank and gets old fast due to water contamination.. I never carry more than 20 to 25 gallons of gas in my tank unless I know I am going to travel a long distance or do a lot of driving.

I LOVE my big gas tank... It's one of the best 'mods' on my car. Great addition... Just don't fill it up and leave the gas sitting in the tank forever.

Dude. . .really. . .I'm not expecting anything to be easy when 'FJ60' in anywhere in a sentence, hehe. Thought I'd install it over the weekend but I'll be by myself, and that is one heavy mofo. Hopefully Monday. .. we'll see =)

He lives in the "Carcinogen Coast" region ....... additives ARE the way of GAS there. HA!

Brah hahahahaha. . .you speak the truth, brother. From food to petro production - and everything in between - healthy isn't an often used word when describing NOLA's lifestyle. I'm right at 6', 165lbs. .. and ppl either throw food at my feet or ask if I'm sick, hehe.

As soon as we move across the lake, I'll be looking at a 100 mile commute (R/T) but I hear ya on letting gas sit - it's a mofo and 'sea foam' isn't exactly the savior it claims to be, doh.

A buddy of mine owns a few local stations that carry ethanol-free gas. Is it really worth it?

I started using it with my 5 series and saw a small improvement with MPG...still liked using it since I know it pisses liberals off. HAH!

Marriage will solve that. I weigh 10lbs less today as I did when I was 27...just lost 30 lbs of muscle and gained 20lbs of fat. HAH!

So, with the monsoon storms inundating the NOLA area - looks like the 60 work will be put on hold until we get back from Peru. Not sure what the work week will look like - aside from total chaos - but I'll try to ck in with you guys before we leave. If not, I'll be back in the mix sometime around 19-20 May. Enjoy the next 2-3 weeks and if I run into a stash of NOS parts, I promise to share the wealth.
