So. . .busy past 2-3 weeks (basically all a blur).

Bunch of work dinners about neuro/spine stims, and discectomy advancements, and of course, conservative consumption of alcohol:

Both of those guys are just as unplugged as myself - thus neither really serving as any type of rational, parameter-building mentors, lol.

That weekend, Went to this:

Was a total last minute 'meet a friend of mine there. . .hey, u should put your truck in for s***s & grins'. Had about 350+ cars, trucks, etc.

Anyway, ended-up with this:

I was stoked to say the least. Well, since I never keep it in low gear, the plaque kind of sent me into a nitrous-derived state of hyper, espresso-induced and wild, WTF-type of ideas.

Wait. . .there's more!

The next day, Mel & I went back to the new property, unloaded a u-haul & two suv's worth of stuff.

Then I fired up the Nespresso machine.

No med mgt for Shane today:

Just as I was starting to feel my 'creative' side surface, the 3rd Nespresso hit me, and I was like:

My sweet, beautiful wife was like, 'I'm outta here, you look a little crazy-eyed', lol.

Walked around the property, planning where to put treehouse, zip lines, shooting box, and of course, garage and metal work ideas.

Then I remembered. . .it all came back to me. . .hesitation, uncertainty, fear - when did I become such a sand-filled vagine? Civilian life softened me, made me weak, made me 2nd guess my ambitions.

Closed my eyes and recited something to soothe me:

And made the decision to:

With my rediscovered set of balls, put the kayak in and much to the dismay of my wife, @torfab , Dave, @reevesci Jason, and @beno (the short list, hehe), 'Shane' is back in full-force. Yeah, it's party time!

I"ll skip the shop/property stuff for now.

Here's where I'm going with some interior mods:

Thread title says "first few projects"...this is looking like major overhaul.[emoji41]

Trying to talk Dave into another custom job.

Beno is working on a few order to complete the OEM parts list (glass, w/s, etc.)

Have an interior shop already.

Need to find someone really comfortable and highly skilled in aluminum fabrication/welding.

And then, finally, the motor.

Timeline - I'd like to say within a year. But maybe 8 months, maybe 24 months. I"m fast approaching the 2 year mark and if I've learned anything - nothing moves quickly in the 60/custom work world.

Shane

ps - updated my intro :worms:

It's similar to the snowball effect - but maybe better described as a super strong magnet ball, rolling down a hill of scrap metal, lol.

Perhaps I should update the title. . .

Somehow talked Tor & Adam to take on the axles, brakes, sway bar job. . .long line ahead of me at his shop but will be well worth the wait.

I am ?

:)

I thought I put a PO from you in my 'priority' folder? Hmm, I'll check tomorrow to see if the sleep deprivation is playing tricks on me =)

copy that - I'm on fire at the moment and making it a goal this calendar year to finish the 60. Although it's against my religion to work a 5th day - I tried previously, didn't work the way I planned, hehe - I'm considering taking a every other Saturday to fund the final push. Mel works Tues-Sat, I work Tues-Fri. Logic dictates a Saturday - we'll see if it works better than my failed attempt at Mondays. Fingers and toes crossed.

Badass :bounce2::bounce:

I want to see more pictures of that grill installed! That thing is gnarly!
