The :princess: and I need to find a cabin for rent in western NC for a few days next week - probably Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. We are looking for a small cabin, high elevation, and in the middle of no where. Don't need nuttin' fancy or high falootin'.

Any suggestions?

a little further but cabinfevervacations.com

higher elevations and close to crap for supplies.

Thats some fancy camera work to make the place look bigger... the pool table is a 4' by 20'

Trty VRBO.com, We used them when we first started going to GSMTR.
We had a 3 BR, 2 BA place off hannging dog for $75 a night...3 night min, though.

I know you guys are looking for WNC but if you want something different next time you should check this place out. I did this trip a few years back and it was really nice. Looking forward to doing it again sometime when the boys get a little bigger.

Canoe South Carolina, canoe Charleston, Edisto River treehouses

The office is just down river from the power plant. They load you up in a van and drive you upriver and you paddle down about 15 to 20 miles to the tree houses where you spend the night. Then the next day you go about another 10 or so back to the boat landing. A little pricey but they provide the transportation upriver, canoes, and tree house. The tree houses are pretty nice and have futon style beds and gas camp stoves. If I remember right they provided firewood to. All we had to do is show up with our backpacks and cooler full of steaks and frostys.
