Please help

I’ve searched the web looking for pistons (131011702002) hd-t mark 2(b). Does anyone know where I could get my hands on some?
I’m located in Norway, but got a friend over in the states now who is traveling back in a week or so.

Would love to have it running by summer holliday in 1,5 month

Can't seem to find 13101-17020-02 in stock (which I believe is the early 1HD-T piston, to 08/92) anywhere but 99% sure we can get 6x 13101-17040-02 (which if I can read a parts diagram properly)is the later piston, 08/92 to 01/95 inside a couple of weeks.

It's not that they are out of stock, the parts are out of production. Therefore you need to get lucky with some NOS (pretty unlikely in the US), use a substituted part, or go aftermarket.

Partsouq do a set of 6 Indonesian Teikin pistons. No idea if they are worth fitting or not. https://partsouq.com/en/search/all?q=1310117020#46325ASTD-1

Chamber in the piston of 39.1mm are 8/92 or earlier
Later piston has chamber of 42.4mm diameter.

The larger diameter chamber is shallower so compression ratio is the same.

I'm told by a reputable injection shop that as long as you match the injector seat washers to the correct piston (early or late) they are interchangeable.

Have had this issue with Yoshi and Impex, neither of these suppliers keep any stock and try to order the parts once they receive an order themselves.

The piston diameter is the same, the combusrion chamber in the middle of the late piston is larger diameter and shallower than the early piston. You don't need to rebore

FWIW I checked the diesel forum and it was asked/discussed twice (but never answered) if the later piston (13101-17040-02) was a direct replacement for the out of production piston (13101-17020-02).

Any idea witch shims I need for the injectors if I’m going for 13101-17040-02. ?
I’ve got one order in for the 92 pistons, but think I will order a set of 13101-17040-02 to but then again I need the shims.

11176-27011 should be the PN for injector seats for late pistons

Early pistons = 11176-17010
