Thanx all, i noticed a leak under the truck and traced it to this leaking part it looks like it conncts to the power steering fluid res. so i think its an easy fix, i just need to know what its called so i can begin to hunt one down.

Maybe "cruiserdan" and "beowulf"can chime in on this...:D

The "paperclip" shape must be on newer model 80's? Mine looks nothing like that, more of a stretched out flattened W if that makes any sense.

i can believe that. i picked-up a universal one last nite....will check out carquest as well to see what they offer then i'll be installing it as soon as time allows.
Thanks

did you have to cut the paper clip off or r did you remove the entire cooler line and replace it with the rubber hose i see ?

The lines are leaking on mine too, but over that front cross member piece. If you buy the cooler from the Amazon link, do you just replace all the lines with new soft heater hose? What diameter are you using?

Also, as asked before, can you get away with just draining the radiator for this, or does the whole system need to be drained?

@azTony , I found your posts about this in another thread. Looks like you used 3/8 inch line. Do you happen to have better pics of how you have the lines routed where they run over the DS of the steering stabilizer and behind that front cross member? I think I have this figured out, but want to be sure before I dig into it.

Also, any interference from the MR. Gasket unit with an ARB bumper and m12000 winch? Thanks for the help!

Just went out and looked at it, doesn't seem that there would be any interference.

you have an M12000 on your rig?! Are you trying to bring the moon closer to the earth?

Haha, not yet. But, I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to throw in there. Saving up for Christmas. ARB is already on, but I had to rebuild funds for a winch.

Geeze! 12000 might be a little overkill IMO, an m8000 (or even a VR8000) would be enough for 99% of the situations you would find yourself in... But that just my worthless opinion
