This is I think a 69(but no latter than 71) brochure, came from europe but is in english and has right and left hand drive, so I have no idea what market it was for.

But a few interesting items. Notice the front opening window(seen this before) The fj55 steering wheel is unlike any I have seen before. And on the option list(for 55) is a 4 speed with single speed t-case. Also notice the right and left hand drive have different dashes(one is ribbed, other is not) CV u-joint also shown as an option?

I know some of you guys dig this stuff as much as me.....

Very, very cool John!!!

THANKS!!!

"right click, save" Thanks, I really like the old ads :D

Very cool thanks. I'm driving a 69. My front blinker are the old round ones, not rectangular. My spare is on the passenger side. My steering wheel looks like that. That two piece windshield is cool, mine is single.

69 what? 40 or 55? I understand that the early 55's had that wheel......I just aint never seen one. The turn round turn signals I thought were last used on 67.

spare depends on if right or left hand drive

What was your manufacture date, Travis? SOR marks those round lights as through 1968. Your PO probably put the earlier ones on at some point.

yep, that aint a 69. I suspect it could be a 67/8 that was titled in 69.

pretty sure 67 was the last year for the bib lights

Here's the way I tell them apart (and I may be wrong).

1968: Improved F engine, lights in bib, round lights on fender, no side marker lights (just reflectors)
1969: Same engine, lights in bib, rectangular lights on fender, side marker lights
1970: Same engine, no lights on bib, rectangular lights on fender, side marker lights

A lot of late year model cruisers got titled the following year. That's
why it's so important to know the month and year when the cruiser
was produced.

I like the mistitlement idea ;) I have a '71 that's titled as a '70! ::)

I really thought the bib light was gone in 68 or at least 69.....guess I be wrong ;)

Cool.

I'm assuming the single-speed transfer case was H2-H4! :D I guess it was for those folks who were going to use their SUV as a grocery getter way back then. . . . .

Thanks for sharing John, What I also think is cool is the canvas OR vinyl.. I always thought it was a straight turn over. I have seen 55 with that steering wheel in the states.. I know I saw one recently on the web somewhere. It might have been ebay.. who knows..
