Boat. Asian carp. Benelli shotgun.

Looks like a damn good time

New Olympic event, CALLED IT..!!! Tell me some ole boy from Pocatallico wouldn’t win Gold. 🥇

Well, WV isn’t like TX where you get a lever gun for just filling up at the TEXACO station. Here, you inherit a collection from your Grandmother like GOD intended. Pretty sure that’s in the scriptures.
Got my lever from my dad.

A few others too, tho most I bought for myself.

Lever guns are just like FJ40’s, very basic utility guns. Like 40’s they are hugely popular again after gathering dust in the corner for a while. There isn’t much more fun than a lever action Winchester rimfire, a set of 1/5scale silhouettes and a brick of ammo pretending to be Lucas McCain in The Rifleman.

Stereo upgrade.

Bought a little Focal powered subwoofer to go under the driver's seat.

I didn't get many pictures.... sorry. It was hotter than Satan's dick in the shop, and I just wanted it done.

Used some ¼"x1" aluminum bar to saddle it between the frame rails in the seat bracket.

Poked a few more holes in the seat bracket, and voila, mounted.

It doesn't need a ton of juice. I just used a 8ga wire, (with a 30a fuse at the battery), to power it. Ground i just dropped straight down to the floor where I've got a few other things grounded.

Sean is getting a big wet sloppy kiss next time I see him. He ran a amp on wire for me back to the console. Since DJ fixed up the dash proper now, getting that head unit out is a complete chore. I could wiggle it out the front of Wynona's big beaver hole before, now it has to dump out the back. There isn't room to do that easily. So thank you Sean, you saved me a bunch of sweaty ball anger.

Sounds pretty good. The crossover and highpass leave much to be desired with the retro sound headunit. I need to monkey with settings on it some more to get the sound I want. I accidently completely reset the stereo back to factory settings, so I need to figure that out again, then see what I like after that. Basically just hack my way through every combination until I get what I want.

Hooray, tism. 🤣

Take down 95 in 30-06. Can simulate a 300 mag with the right loadings. Always wanted to build one

I debated long and hard about doing my rifle in 30-06. I like 30-06, it's a versatile cartridge. And I've got at least 5k floating around here.

Short action won me over just for the competition side of things.

Everyone knows you put it under the passenger seat for her pleasure. Geez. 🙄

You know why dogs lick themselves, right?

Because they can.

So which one did you get and how do you like the Retro sound unit? Been thinking about adding one with speakers on the roll bar.

I don't think the one I have is available any longer. Mine was the "Long Beach".

If you search on their website, they have one that is similar looking. Looks like the price has gone up significantly since 2022. It's $100 more.

I made my own faceplate because I'm a dork like that.

As to how do I like it? I've had some really nice stereos. This is one of the worst I've owned. The menus are like going through the parameters of a VFD. Sound quality is okay. The tunability of it is not great. But it fits in the hole, and there isn't many options for that.
