 I guess that is one way to put it. The biggest problem in getting this back to where I want it...money. There's a lot of hack mods done to it that I don't even know are stock at all that are going to be a b*tch to sort through.

I'll get some pics today since it came home last night :D

Awesome stroll down memory lane!

Great photos and glad she is back in the family!

Ok so some background on this. The guy that bought it was a good friend of my dad or so my dad thought. He was going to trade him for his modded up Bronco but the guy asked if he could buy it cash instead. My dad not haven taken delivery and just living across town from him said sure he would hold the title that he had, instead of being smart and putting a lien on the fj40, and the guy went and totaled the bronco. We haven't seen him since. He got cancer and had to sell the 40 to make his bills and that is how my friend at the shop got it. To this day my dad kicks himself for thinking he could trust a friend.

cool story! I like stuff like that!

question for ya.

Could you take a pic of your factory linkage for the vacuum shift? I'm trying to see where it connects for the bottom pivot point....body? bellhousing? frame???

thanks

Ben sorry for the long time to reply but mine probably isn't hooked up, the guy that bought it from my dad but before my friend picked it up, really screwed it up

Haven't even touched the TRE's that I bought . I need to rewire the whole truck first as the wiring is a ghetto redneck combination wiring harness from hell and needs to be completely redone :(. Most likely going to save up and just pay someone else to fix that part as I HATE electrical work.

What happened man? Why are you putting this rig up for sale?
