Work in progress

Finally got some time to work on the underbody. Yesterday and today I wire brushed the heck out of the frame, hit all the surface rust and sprayed it with rustoleum primer. Next step is to get some good undercoating on the frame. Slowly coming along but at least it's a step closer!

Can you post pics of the interior? How has that held up over the years?

Finally out of the body shop here is how she sits now. I have been working on putting it together. Reason for the delay is first shop never worked on it after holding it so I pulled it out and took it to another shop. I am happy with the outcome. Hope you all like! I know I know bigger tires are on the way.

Where did the big tires go? Bring 'em back.
Dig the new color. I have an 80 myself but wasnt lucky enough to score the AC and PS. Great truck! Post up some pics of the inside.

Ben those tires were too big, they were hitting the rear fenders I got rid of them. I will post more pics tommrow...thanks.

I like the tiny tires. Kinda makes me think I'm looking through a peephole or a fisheye lens.

(Can't figure out how to quote a photo, but the first pic of the set of 3 three posts up should go here.)

 very good, i like more with the fj60 rims, you can painted white and should be perfect... Now whats the story on that funky looking winch? did you have more pictures before take it out? interesting-rare set up...

Eshu I don't know much about the winch but the other day I read that it's an 8,000 pound winch by warn not sure if it works or not. I was thinking about restoring it not sure though. I don't have more pics of it when it was on.

it's blue

Hey, nice paint, I'm glad you kept it that color, it makes it so much easier to stay the original color, but dude you need to put bigger tires on there and restore the winch, it looked so good with the big meats, you should have lifted it until they didn't rub. sweet rig and nice job!!! -Matt
