Meh. It's a good thing he drives a 62, so he could go get some help to unlock his 60. :):):)

I have to say. You have a very nice looking 100. I don't believe ive ever seen a LC or LX 100 dented. Yours is actually getting used. Love it.

Thanks Cody Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Thanks, I do wheel hard. I have 1 good body panel left I think lol. Patty Cakes got into the 60...he is on the road again c

thats why i leave my rear hatch unlocked. i know 2 people who have figured out how to open it to begin with, its fairly theft proof

Unfortunately I've had to climb over through the back once when somebody didn't warn me they had locked it, one of the benitites of having a 60 hatch on a 62. It doesn't lock with the button. :)

Considering the general handling characteristics of a lifted 62 on 33's, then adding all the videos of you flying, climbing, mud ding, etc. - I don't think there"s anything "slight" going on if you're behind her wheel :-)

lol, long time no see RJ! hope every things going well with the 60, I'm gonna try and make it to tomorrows meeting, i think the Georgia Cruisers might want their trophy back hahaha.

Yes, it was a very enjoyable time getting locked out. Nick doesn't know it but i did it on purpose so i could spend more time with
him... :flipoff2:

Since the lock out, i have hidden like 400 keys all throughout the truck, and will soon be giving copies to all my friends to insure that it will NEVER happen again.

...those races were rigged lol.

I can keep a spare key in the 100 if you'd like. I don't mind at all. Glad you got in. My 100 is leaking in the same spots as your 60

I was shocked at the 60, it kept up with the 100 until about 35MPH. Once I hit 2nd gear I was gone though. I'm not sure that was the best idea on your brand new locker  Your build thread makes me want to start my own...:hhmm:

Patrick decided to lock his keys, phone, and brain inside the 60. Good thing he just filled up

Lol don't tell me you locked it running again .

Alright cool, ill get a couple more keys made and distribute them to the usual gang. And yeah well need to get together again soon a for a work day to remedy those leaks lol.

I was flabbergasted that we were neck and neck as well, i thought you were just going easy until you left me behind haha. But yeah, hmmm i was only in 2wd, there were puddles i was hitting, my tires weren't warmed up... umm, the air was denser in my lain, i got plenty of slightly viable excuses haha.

Ive seen your build on ExPo, i liek that it shows it from stock up until the last few months. Id chat in there, but id probably be banned for the stuff i would like to post :p

Plus you have to look at in the respect that your 3fe had to push the amazing-ness of the 62's bricklike profile where as the 100 engine has to push the super aerodynamic 100 down the road. I think you don't understand the real results. Your 62 won the air resistance war.

:)

Yeah, I've been under way too many rocks lately - and unfortunately not from wheelin. My 60 would like a lot more attention from me, as would a lot of trails around here!

Which trophy, don't you have several? :)

See you tomorrow! RJ

Dense air = more oxygen = more power. That's why cooler days make more hp, cool air is denser. Just sayin :meh:

Yes. Correct. However if you factor tire pressure and temp he probably had some added rolling resistance.

Didn't he still have that rear bumper at the time? That probably upped his rolling resistance 25% right there! :)

Lated,
Love that "99 TJ oops" part of your sig!

No, this occurred with my race ready, stripped down version of the fj62.

Yeah...you removed 300lbs and placed yourself in it...race ready my ass  the only race land cruisers belong in are the ones to the last pump at the gas station.

Patrick,
I read in another thread your brother might be looking for a T4R. Saw this at the gas/ service station by my house and thought of you. If you want I can inquire within.

Ok, hijack over...

Thanks Danny, but it seems he now has his eye on the new 4 runner trail edition. I test drove one for him a few days ago, and while I would MUCH rather him get an 80 or hundy, the TE gets much better mpg and was actually pretty sick. I wish my 62 had crawl control and KDSS...

It would be awesome to was out to California and road trip back to Georgia. At least until I realize that after the 1st day, I'm still only in Nevada and have a very long way to go. Then Id probably hop on a plane and ship that thing back haha.

Psh the new technologie is making it no fun. if you had crawl control its just a dumbed down gas pedal. you should be proud not to have that stuff cause then you actually have some skill to do the same thing the guy did with his fancy computer car js... :P

Finally accomplished something that ive wanted to do for a long time!!!!
a few days ago i planned a (poorly thought out) trip to my grandmas house to complete my goal. (Foreshadowing)

I started by undoing all that brake line nonsense leading to the rear drums and moving it all out of the way so i could get the cute little toyota axle out of way and replace it with my front and rear porta

...bly bedlined toyota axles!!!! (did i trick anyone into thinking portals? probably not :o)
I started by using a little wood chisel to scrape off the vile sludge concoction of oil/diff fluid/mud from my axle, a bit like you would grate cheese. It was strangely satisfying seeing all the years of gunk being peeled away and letting the clean metal show from underneath. BUT, my brother, Aidan, decided i was having too much fun, so he hid my chisel and made me switch to the drill/wire wheel.
It was much less fulfilling :frown:, but i was finished much faster :)

Not very organized, but i think it works out ok some of the time.

*** LITTLE DID WE KNOW ;), all the brake fluid was slowly seeping out of the horribly plugged up brake lines, drip by drip. Had i thought about it sooner, i probably would have bought some fluid before turning my 4x4 into a 2x2.
(claps for Patrick :clap::clap::clap::clap:)

So, seeing as how the parking brake is broken, my brother and i went for a little stroll.
You never know just how far away civilization is until you have to trek 3 miles in stupid work wellingtons to get to it. I texted Nick to complain and he, being the very wise elder that he is, told me to call ahead and ensure that the store actually had what i was seeking, I was busy and hadn't thought of that, but of course I lied and said i just got off the phone with a worker. :flipoff2:
To pass the time while walking down the sidewalk and trying to conceal the extreme pain, my bro and I invented a game where we try to predict the color of the car coming up behind us.
It was a terrible game... you didnt even win anything.

When we finally made it to the chevron, we were appeased by this wonderful item for sale and the excursion almost seemed worth it...

Very dead roses "on sale" for only $2.99. Maybe they were "break up" roses or something i dont know..

after finally making it back home, we pushed through and finished rebuilding my land cruiser. In all the hubbub, i forgot to take any more pictures of stage one of my cleaning project, so to satisfy this LC community's hunger for pictures, heres a photo of one of the worst placed blisters ive ever grown.

Fxxx those boots man.
